From the Supreme Court to the halls of Congress to governor’s mansions across the country, conservatives have ruthlessly pushed an agenda that has torn America asunder since 1980. As 2011 comes to a close, conservatives are still trying to push failed policies. This is a list of 15 individual conservatives that pose a significant threat to American society as we move into 2012 and beyond.
1. John Roberts) The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court leads four other conservative judges on the bench. Placed on the high court by President Bush, John Roberts has been influential in changing campaign finance laws (Citizens United) and has since ruled in favor of big corporations. And the conservative court isn’t through yet. Conservatives desire to overturn abortion, environmental laws, President Obama’s health care law, and voting rights laws, and you can bet that they are aiming to use the Supreme Court to do it.
2. Eric Cantor) The House Majority Leader has been very busy since his party took over the House in 2010. Cantor has proven that he has more power than John Boehner does, hence the fact that Boehner isn’t even on the list. Cantor is willing to do whatever it takes to slam every right-wing bill through Congress. He also has the backing of Tea Party House members. Cantor is still young, which means he could be a major player on the right for decades to come. It’s also likely that he could be the next Speaker of the House if the GOP keeps control after the 2012 Election.
3. Clarence Thomas) The second Supreme Court Justice to make the list has deep ties to the conservative movement. He has ties to Koch Industries and has received money from the Heritage Foundation and other conservative organizations. He has refused to recuse himself from cases that he has ties to and that is what makes him dangerous. Thomas ruled with the other conservatives in Citizens United even though he had a conflict of interest in that case as well. As long as he is on the bench with Roberts, outside influences can dictate how the conservative wing rules.
4. Mitch McConnell) He may be the Senate Minority Leader but that doesn’t make McConnell any less poisonous to America. He has led the effort to block and stall many important pieces of legislation in the Senate and has blocked Presidential nominees from taking their posts, leaving many departments leaderless. We’ll see more of the same thing in 2012.
5. Paul Ryan) The second member of the U.S. House of Representatives to make the list, Ryan is a major threat because he introduced legislation that would kill Medicare by privatizing it. Essentially, Ryan’s plan throws all American senior citizens under a speeding bus. Ryan isn’t an old man either. He could remain active in politics for decades, which means his ideas will still be around as well. Even if the people of Wisconsin don’t re-elect him to Congress, Ryan could still join any conservative think tank or organization, or become a lobbyist. They would love to have him too. Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare are in danger as long as Ryan is around.
6. Scott Walker) The first of two governors on the list has been busy since he took office. The Governor of Wisconsin is on this list because he is an example of just how involved the Koch brothers are in shaping public policy. Under Walker’s “leadership” he has severely weakened labor unions and worker’s rights, weakened environmental laws, weakened pubic education, weakened voter rights, and has put public lands and facilities up for grabs as a way to increase privatization. Some of these facilities are of deep interest to the Koch brothers. As further evidence that Walker is basically a Koch slave, he took a fake call from a person pretending to be David Koch at the height of the collective bargaining debate. Walker could very well be recalled by the people of Wisconsin but Walker intends to sabotage that effort. Walker’s career in Wisconsin may not last beyond this year, but that doesn’t make him any less of a threat, as governors around the country are following his lead and he could always run for federal office later on.
7. Chris Christie) The Governor of New Jersey is the second governor on the list because he has been instrumental in weakening collective bargaining rights, public education, infrastructure, etc… Like Walker, Christie has put a lot of strain on the poor and middle class to benefit corporations and the wealthy. He is a shameless bully that abuses his position on a daily basis. Unlike Walker, however, Christie has his eye on the Presidency in 2016 and if you think Republicans don’t compromise with Democrats now, just imagine if Christie were in the White House. And that scenario is precisely why he is on the list.
8. Michele Bachmann) She is by far the craziest conservative serving in the House of Representatives and she is running for President which makes her a frightening politician and a dangerous one as well. And it looks like she will continue her Presidential bid deep into 2012. Bachmann is a major Christian Right Wing nut and she knows absolutely nothing about American history. She has already signed a pledge to persecute the LGBT community and has promised Christian fundamentalists that Christianity will play a dominant role in government if she is elected. Bachmann would also ban abortion for any reason and would make life hard for the unemployed and the poor. Stupid and crazy is never a good combination and Bachmann has both in spades.
9. Reince Priebus) The current Chairman of the RNC is the big reason why Wisconsin got saddled with Scott Walker as Governor and why Republicans control the legislature there. As Chairman of the RNC, he aims to screw over the United States as much as he screwed over Wisconsin. And the RNC is a major money player in national and state elections across the country. If he can architect a landslide victory for conservative extremists in Wisconsin, he can do the same nationally and that is why Priebus makes the list. That, and the fact that he once made a Freudian slip about assassinating President Obama.
10. Fred Upton) The Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce is also a major Koch brothers lackey. As such, he is committed to ending the Environmental Protection Agency and giving the Koch brothers free rein to pollute the air, the water, and the land. Being in the pocket of the Kochs makes Upton a very dangerous player in Congress and as his term comes to a close, Upton will try to speed along his destructive Koch agenda.
11. Ron Paul) Michele Bachmann is crazy, but Ron Paul is crazy with a rabid following of supporters. Paul has a history of racism, is supported by the Ku Klux Klan, and wants anarchy in America. If Paul were to capture the Presidency, he would make the federal government powerless in both domestic policy and foreign policy. Paul would destroy Social Security, Medicare, public education, the EPA, and would withdraw the United States from international participation. Paul also believes states have the right to secede and would more than likely support states that choose to become independent nations. Ron Paul would allow the dismantling of America which makes him perhaps the most dangerous man on the list. And don’t forget, Ron Paul also has a son that may have an eye on the White House as well.
12. Samuel Alito) Samuel Alito is yet another Supreme Court Justice on the list. And like all the others, he is dangerous because he will decide in favor of big corporations and other conservative groups who wish to challenge everything from health care to abortion to gay marriage. Alito, like Roberts, is a Bush nominee, which makes him at least as dangerous as Bush, but the fact that he will serve for life on the court makes him more dangerous.
13. John McCain) Once a stalwart of compromise and crossing the aisle to get things done, McCain has since become a hawkish die-hard conservative. McCain may not be President and he never will be, but he is still a dangerous politician. The longtime Arizona Senator still wields considerable influence in Congress and is one the strongest proponents for war with Iran. Many have since joined him in pushing for such a war. War with Iran would be disastrous and that is why McCain makes the list.
14. Antonin Scalia) And a fourth Supreme Court Justice makes the list. Why? Because he votes overwhelmingly with his conservative colleagues in favor of big corporations, and against civil rights, disregarding all the precedents set by past courts and laws passed by Congress. Given the divided nature of the court these past few years, it’s likely that Scalia will keep voting the way conservatives want him to.
15. Rand Paul) The demon spawn of Ron Paul, Rand Paul would do everything his father would do and then some. He’s a Senator, and he has blocked many a bill since taking office. He has been vocal about wanting to repeal the Civil Rights Act, and has attempted to block safety regulations and oversight regulations. If Ron Paul ever stops running for President, you can bet that Rand Paul will take up where his father left off. That means Paul could be a threat for decades to come.
All in all, the four Supreme Court Justices on this list are by far the most dangerous conservative government officials. They aren’t elected by the people and they never will have to answer for their extreme decisions. They will be on the high court for life which means they are in a position to strike down anything as unconstitutional that the extreme right-wing doesn’t like, from Social Security to Medicare, to the Civil Rights Act, to Roe v. Wade, and any other legislation that conservatives hate. All the other conservatives on the list can be voted out of office by the American electorate. As America enters 2012, we need to keep a sharp eye on these dangerous conservatives and we must seek to unseat them, because if we don’t, we can expect another thirty years of failed policies that only benefit the wealthy and the conservative effort to rule America.

I have decided I will no longer follow Bristol's blog. It's apparent she is making money off of it with all the clicks and hits it gets. She likes to make money the easy way.
That and the fact it's written by a ghostwriter.

Ever since the 2008 Election the Palins have thrust themselves in the public eye. Sarah with her bus tour, working for FOX, and teasing the Palinidiots about running in 2012.
Bristol was a spokeswoman for Candies, appeared on DWTS, wrote a ghostwritten book about losing her virginity in a tent, appeared in photo shoots, and trashed her baby daddy in public. When you want to be in the public eye, you have to take the heat.
The only ones who made Bristol's pregnancy an issue during the campaign was her mother. Yes Letterman, Conan, and Maher have made jokes about you and your family Bristol but guess what, so has Catholic Republican Jay Leno. Why does he get a pass?

I met an older couple there that saw my shirt and told me that one of Sarah Palin's daughters is planning to run in the 2012 Boston Marathon on April 13th. Has anybody heard of this? Which daughter might they have been referring to?"
For starters you have to be minimum of 18 years old, so that leaves out Piper.
2nd you have to beat the qualifying times which would be 3 hours and 40 minutes for the 18-34 women's group. No way in hell could Bristol and Willow do that, especially post partum. Do these two girls look like runners to you:

Signing Manning was the Broncos' only foolproof way to crush Tebowmania, and there's an almost zero percent chance he will be allowed to remain on the roster and serve as a distraction behind the biggest free agent signing in NFL history. The Jaguars and Dolphins figure to be Tebow's most frequently rumored landing spots, though it's quite possible he won't be shipped anywhere as a starter. There is a new street art poster that’s being emailed around and will no doubt eventually be spotted on a street corner near you. It’s a gritty black and white image of Andrew Breitbart looking both battle-worn and ever vigilant with the caption: “BREITBART IS HERE.”
Those three words express the instant connection many of us feel for our fallen friend. They express our identification with him, and our need to continue his fight for the good of our republic.
With the death of Breitbart, the conservative movement didn’t just lose a General – we lost an entire Special Forces Division. But he didn’t leave us without the tools and the knowledge we need to fight. This website – Breitbart 2.0 – is the culmination of his study of the technology and aesthetics of new media. The team Breitbart assembled under the leadership of Steve Bannon, Larry Solov, and Joel Pollak will advance his mission with courage and integrity.
Breitbart’s most immediate mission was the belated vetting of Barack Obama. This obviously is an issue very near and dear to my heart.
During the ’08 campaign, the same media that reported breathlessly about an old used tanning bed I purchased to get some sun during the dark Alaskan winter, couldn’t be bothered to investigate Barack Obama’s associations, statements or even his voting record as a state senator. Suntans and what I wore on the campaign trail were more important than Obama’s political background. Unbelievable.
But when you come to think of it, the media didn’t investigate either of our actual political records very closely.
Barack Obama and I both served in political office in states with a serious corruption problem. Though there is a big difference between serving as the CEO of a city, then a state, and regulating domestic energy resources, and being a liberal Community Organizer, bear with me on the comparison. The difference between my record and Barack Obama’s is that I fought the corrupt political machine my entire career (and I have twenty years of scars to prove it) on the local, state, and national level. But Obama didn’t fight the corruption he encountered. He went along with it to advance his career. Graft, cronyism, and quid pro quo are the methods of the Chicago political machine from which he emerged.
You would think the media – those watchdogs of the public trust – would be interested in this. But they refused to vet Barack Obama. With tingles up their legs, they shielded him.
If the media had done their job of vetting him, we wouldn’t have been shocked that within days after Obama’s election, his close political associate Rod Blagojevich was caught trying to sell Obama’s vacant Senate seat.
If the media had done their job of vetting him, we wouldn’t be astonished to see all the billion dollar green energy kickbacks going to his campaign cronies as the nation heads towards bankruptcy.
If the media had done their job of vetting him, we wouldn’t be surprised that Obama brought these same Chicago “pay-to-play” practices to the White House.
This corruption was entirely predictable. But the mainstream media, who work under our Constitutional right of freedom of the press which our sons and daughters fight in war zones today to protect, dropped the ball and failed America by refusing to vet their chosen candidate.
So, as Breitbart declared in his last CPAC speech, we – the everyday patriotic citizens of the United States – will do the vetting the media refused to do.
This is a first step. Ultimately, Breitbart’s goal was to expose what he called the corrupt Democrat Media Complex. He wanted to break it up because he understood how the left uses its dominance of the mainstream media and pop culture to advance its objectives and marginalize its political foes.
Standing up and defending those who are being unfairly targeted and maligned was also the mission. Is it any wonder Breitbart titled his autobiography “Righteous Indignation” when you consider his deep-seated sense of justice and fair play? He was on the side of the little guy and ready to run to the aid of those who needed it. He possessed that old fashioned virtue of courage, compassion, and decency that we once called chivalry. He inspired that in others.
When you’re in the political arena serving for the right reasons and taking flak from all sides, there is nothing more discouraging than when your fellow conservatives sit on their thumbs or worse yet, join in the attacks. Breitbart understood this because he experienced it himself at times, so he was determined to stand by others in need.
He was a genius at new media, but his real gift was that he was fearless at a time when too many people are afraid and are retreating. Courage inspires courage. Fearlessness emboldens others to follow your lead.
Lately conservatives are picking up the mantle from Breitbart’s absence on the air and in places like Twitter. Watch for tweet jousts with liberal outlets like the weird and creepy Media Matters and re-tweets of leftwing hate using the Twitter hashtag “#IAmAndrewBreitbart” as the battle cry.
Soon we’ll see others imitating Breitbart’s gift for disbanding leftwing protests by simply asking the rent-a-mob, “Hey, what are you protesting?”
And I am confident we’ll soon see more conservatives boldly come out of the shadows in Hollywood without fear of retribution.
The task may seem daunting, but a whole new generation of conservatives has been inspired. I’ve seen it first hand. When my daughter Bristol saw the video of Breitbart’s speech at a Tea Party rally in Madison, Wisconsin, she was fired up. She turned to me and said, “Breitbart is cool!”
Yes, he is cool. And “Breitbart Is Here.”
Now let the vetting begin.
According to Steve Schmidt Sarah was not vetted at all. A google vet at best. So why is she complaining about Barack Obama not being vetted?
I think it's a mental illness, not sure of the term. When someone accuses you of this and that when the same is applied to you. Someone help me out here.

Georgia state Rep. Terry England compared women to farm animals while discussing an abortion measure on the Georgia state house floor.
The republican lawmaker was commenting on HB 954 -- a measure which would prohibit a woman from having an abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy -- when he made the curious comparison, according to The Raw Story.
“Life gives us many experiences,” England explained. “I’ve had the experience of delivering calves, dead and alive — delivering pigs, dead and alive. … It breaks our hearts to see those animals not make it.”
England went on to tell the story of a man who expressed his concern about abortion with his own animal metaphor.
"[The man] said, ‘Mr. Terry, I want to tell you something. You tell those folks down there when they quit killing babies, they can have every chicken I’ve got,'" England said.
The controversial bill would even apply in situations where the fetus was not expected to survive. England's response to such concerns is what sparked the bizarre comparison.
Opponents of the bill believe that it would force women to carry stillborn fetuses or to have Caesarian deliveries. Regardless of any complications surrounding the pregnancy, under HB 954 a woman is expected to carry the child until birth.
Contraception and abortion have been the focus of a nation-wide debate in recent days thanks to controversies surrounding Susan G. Komen and Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke, who was called a "slut" by Rush Limbaugh after advocating for contraception coverage.

Those of us with family members in the military, especially, cannot help but be shocked and disappointed by the Commander in Chief’s decision to cut our troops and the benefits they have earned. It’s amazing when you consider all the government waste and the fact that the compensation and benefits of politicians (including the President) only increase, never decrease.
In a recent newsletter, Congressman Allen West points out:
The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched. As well, we are looking at cutting close to 130,000 uniformed troops, but cutting only 7,000 Department of Defense civilians.
In addition, the Obama administration is looking to create a BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) commission to examine changing the military retirement system. If you do the analysis, you find that less than one percent of the American adult population draws a retirement from serving in the United States Military. The idea of taking out the United States economy budget woes on our military is despicable.
The most alarming points about the healthcare plan include:
- Increases between 30 percent to 78 percent in TRICARE annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan would impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent. That's more than three times current levels....
- The new plan also hits active duty personnel by increasing co-payments for pharmaceuticals and eliminating incentives for using generic drugs.
- Veterans will also be hit with a new annual fee for the TRICARE for Life program, on top of the monthly premiums already being paid. In addition, some benefits will become “means-tested,” making them similar to the welfare system than as a benefit for Military service.
Congressman West is right. This is “despicable.” Instead of reforming our insolvent entitlement programs (which the President’s own debt commission recommended) and instead of taking a cleaver to all the waste, fraud, and abuse of our tax dollars perpetrated and perpetuated by the crony capitalism of the permanent political class in DC, this administration makes our brave men and women in uniform bear the brunt of our deficit woes. It’s shameful. The President’s actions are shameful!
For all his talk about slashing troops in the name of making the military “more efficient,” I believe Barack Obama will find these numbers will fall on their own. I predict our troops will cut their own numbers by not voluntarily enlisting at the levels we’ve previously seen or by getting out of the service as quickly as possible because of their Commander in Chief’s lack of support and lack of a clear mission for them.
After watching the administration “tsk-tsking” the conditions our brave men and women in uniform fight through everyday and listening to the apologizing for our troops’ actions in war zones, I stand amazed and impressed at our military personnel's loyalty to the office of the Commander in Chief. I understand and am thankful for that loyalty. They deserve better. They watch the President’s complacency as the media seems to forget our fallen by choosing to give more ink and airtime to a phone call the President makes to praise a 30-year-old college student’s “courage” in publicly speaking about her birth control desires than they’ve given to any of our recent soldiers’ ultimate courage and sacrifice on battlefields far from home. Has he made as great an effort to personally encourage the families of the fallen? His priorities are skewed.
For our courageous men and women in uniform and for the security of our nation, November can’t come soon enough.

Congressman West is right. This is “despicable.” Instead of reforming our insolvent entitlement programs (which the President’s own debt commission recommended) and instead of taking a cleaver to all the waste, fraud, and abuse of our tax dollars perpetrated and perpetuated by the crony capitalism of the permanent political class in DC, this administration makes our brave men and women in uniform bear the brunt of our deficit woes. It’s shameful. The President’s actions are shameful!
For all his talk about slashing troops in the name of making the military “more efficient,” I believe Barack Obama will find these numbers will fall on their own. I predict our troops will cut their own numbers by not voluntarily enlisting at the levels we’ve previously seen or by getting out of the service as quickly as possible because of their Commander in Chief’s lack of support and lack of a clear mission for them.
After watching the administration “tsk-tsking” the conditions our brave men and women in uniform fight through everyday and listening to the apologizing for our troops’ actions in war zones, I stand amazed and impressed at our military personnel's loyalty to the office of the Commander in Chief. I understand and am thankful for that loyalty. They deserve better. They watch the President’s complacency as the media seems to forget our fallen by choosing to give more ink and airtime to a phone call the President makes to praise a 30-year-old college student’s “courage” in publicly speaking about her birth control desires than they’ve given to any of our recent soldiers’ ultimate courage and sacrifice on battlefields far from home. Has he made as great an effort to personally encourage the families of the fallen? His priorities are skewed.
For our courageous men and women in uniform and for the security of our nation, November can’t come soon enough.

I've been averaging 94 on my exams (four to date). I am really enjoying this class. I can go at my own pace. In fact I should probably so down, but once I get going I cannot stop.
I'm still keeping up with the Palin e-mails and news. I will have some of them posted here in the future.

Pros and Cons of Single Limit Liability Car Insurance

Single Limit Liability is really a plus for car owners. It combines all amounts for your totaled expenses incurred in an accident. Imagine if the damage you have done will cost so much, your single limit liability insurance will take care of the bulk of amount. Unlike split liability, you will have a limit for each injury, so you will have to pay for the excess bills.
To cite an example, if you have accidentally bumped your car into someone crossing the road, you will be obliged to pay for injuries and possibly legal suits. Will your split limit liability insurance pay for all these? Since there is a limit, you will probably be insured for a couple of hundred thousand dollars. Say for instance $300,000 for bodily injury. That’s all it will pay for. The rest of the amount, you will be forced to shoulder. If you have single limit liability, you will be able to be covered for a higher amount for all damages combined, thus, reducing the risk of selling your properties and being bankrupt in the process. Single limit liability will save your assets and your reputation as well!
A piece of advice, it is also very wise to get a Car Umbrella Insurance. This will cost a little more, say 400-500 dollars in a year. But its policy limit will range from a million to 5 million dollars! It will also extend coverage to your own home, and other valuable assets and not only for your car. So you will be at peace thinking that your house and car are insured. This, on top of your Single limit liability will extend your limit to a million or so. Going back to the case of the injured pedestrian, what if he will incur close to a million dollars in damages and legal fees? This is a reality that we often dismiss easily. In the process, we lose our homes and our dignity, which could have easily been avoided for an umbrella insurance of just 500 dollars a year!
Disadvantages of Single limit are few. The first one is obviously the cost. It costs higher than Split Liability simply because it has a higher coverage. If you are in a very tight budget, this is not the policy for you. But then again, if for instance, you are on a tight budget and you meet an accident wherein multiple vehicles are involved and you are at fault, your split liability will definitely not suffice. In hindsight, wouldn’t single liability have been the best choice?
Another disadvantage is that processing of claims may be delayed because all the damages will be charged to one amount of coverage, and in the event that many vehicles are involved and many people are injured, they have to submit all claims to the insurance agency and this will take time. Overall, it is still the best choice to have Single Limit Liability Insurance for your car.

Rush Limbaugh makes me puke

In the wake of Rush Limbaugh calling birth control activist Sandra Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute,” thousands of women who feel personally stung by the attack have risen up to respond.
Throughout the day Friday, it was impossible to keep up with the thousands of Tweets about Limbaugh, virtually all critical. “Somehow only NOW catching up on the Sandra Fluke v. Rush Limbaugh drama,” one woman posted at around 6 p.m. ET. “Wish I hadn't, because now my head is going to explode. Wow.”
By Friday evening, Fluke had more than 15,000 Twitter followers.
Fluke, a Georgetown University law student, had testified during an unofficial Democratic committee hearing about how a friend had been unable to pay for the birth control needed to shrink ovarian cysts and help preserve her fertility. Fluke had been previously blocked from testifying before a Republican-led, all-male congressional panel on contraception and religious freedom.
For his part, Limbaugh argued Friday on his radio show that “Republicans don't hate women, are not at war with women, and never have been. It's absolutely absurd.” He expressed surprise that many considered him a danger to women. “At the end of the week, I am the person that the women of America are to fear the most?” he asked listeners. “What can I do to the women of America?”
Galvanize them, perhaps. On its website Friday, The Feminist Majority Foundation launched a pledge drive entitled “”Stand with Sandra.” Eleanor Smeal, president of the nonprofit organization and a former president of the National Organization for Women, called Limbaugh’s comments “nothing more than name calling and trying to distort the issue."
Even if women wanted to respond in kind to Limbaugh, Smeal told msnbc.com, there aren't nearly as many loaded words for men as those so often casually used for defiant women.
Janet Hyde, the Helen Thompson Woolley Professor of Psychology and Women’s Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, says such name-calling “is a method for exerting power and control over women.”
If that was Limbaugh’s goal, Friday’s tweets suggest he failed. “I'd love to know what Limbaugh’s wife thinks about his recent tirade,” one woman wrote. “I bet she's too busy holding aspirin between her knees to comment.”
Limbaugh’s call for the posting of videotapes of women who use birth control went beyond sticks and stones, though, says Kathi Miner, an assistant professor of psychology and women’s and gender studies at Texas A&M University, who described the notion as “a form of sexual violence.”
The president of Georgetown, a Catholic Jesuit institution, defended Fluke’s right to express her views without fear of attack. “This expression of conscience was in the tradition of the deepest values we share as a people,” John DeGioia wrote in a letter posted on the university’s website. “One need not agree with her substantive position to support her right to respectful free expression.”
And yet, DeGioia said, citing Limbaugh, some people who disagreed with Fluke’s position “responded with behavior that can only be described as misogynistic, vitriolic, and a misrepresentation of the position of our student.”

Why didn't Sarah get a flu shot when she was allegedly pregnant with Trig?

Was Sarah wrestling with the decision about getting a flu shot because she was pregnant? Or was it, as it appears at face-value, strictly politics? I'm thinking that if Sarah was actually pregnant, her first consideration would have been toward her baby. The politics of a flu shot are miniscule compared with having a healthy pregnancy and delivering a healthy baby.
I couldn’t find any coverage about whether she had one or not but the affects of the shot on the fetus cannot be downplayed. At the time these emails were exchanged, Sarah, if she had actually been pregnant, would have been in that period between knowing she was “with child” and finding out the baby had an extra chromosome. Sarah claims in “Going Rogue” and many speeches since, that she found out about Trig’s Down Syndrome in early December, 2007.
This is a tiny puzzle piece, and to properly place it, we need to know, what does the medical community say about flu shots and pregnancy? According to the Mayo Clinic’s website, “the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends a flu shot for anyone who’s pregnant during the flu season – typically November through January or even later.” (Isn’t the Internet amazing? I had that information in under 60 seconds. Sarah, if actually pregnant at that time, and if she cared, could have had it that quickly, too.)
The website offers many good reasons to back up the advice. Here they are, one at a time:
Pregnancy puts extra stress on your heart and lungs. Note: Sarah’s heart was no twenty-something heart. Even though she might present the argument that running kept her heart strong, this supposedly pregnant woman had already put some miles between herself and her fortieth birthday.
Pregnancy can also affect your immune system. [extra stress on heart and lungs increases] the risk, not only of getting the flu but of developing serious complications of the flu, such as pneumonia and respiratory distress.
In turn, flu complications increase the risk of…premature labor, preterm birth and other pregnancy complications. Note: We learned in “Going Rogue” that not all Sarah’s pregnancies were simple and successful. She had experienced pregnancy complications before.
A flu shot during pregnancy can help protect your baby after birth… the antibodies you develop will…help protect your baby from the flu.” (PLEASE NOTE, the Mayo Clinic makes a point to differentiate between a shot (recommended) and a nasal dose which is not good for pregnant women to take).
Lest you think Sarah, as an Alaskan, has some built-up immunity to the flu, below is a chart published by the very agency that the Governor was supporting by signing the proclamation in 2007. According to a government report filed while Sarah Palin was in office, the State of Alaska influenza is a leading cause of death in their state.
So, for the first time in her life, one year into her governorship,Sarah might get immunized against the flu. Hmmm. Was she listening to the staff who warned her she would need a good excuse not to get the shot because they were sure the question would be asked? Or was it because it’s recommended that pregnant women get the shot. Pregnancy or politics? Where does this piece fit into our puzzle?
Are we forcing it to fit where we want it if we say this is one for the Trig Truthers? Does it really suggest Sarah was not pregnant? It could be argued from either side, and I shall. But in the end, I think there’s more weight on one side than the other.
Sarah says she never got a flu shot before and never got the flu. No reason to doubt that, other than she lies about everything. But, that’s what she said, so let’s examine the wisdom of that rationale, taking it at face value. Does a negative outcome (not getting the flu) guarantee continued negative outcomes? Of course not. That makes no more sense than a woman getting a negative pregnancy test result after unprotected sex assuming she had some immunity against getting pregnant. (Willow, read that again. You need to understand that concept.)
It wasn’t a good argument by the governor, so perhaps it was a lie. Maybe, just maybe, she was using this lame excuse to hide some real reason for not rolling up her sleeve and taking one for All Alaskans. Maybe Sarah doesn’t like shots. Lots of people don’t like shots. Would we know? Ah, yes, we do know. Sarah was getting shots into her belly that winter to dissolve fat. Even if Sarah had a strong aversion to injection, she could screw up her courage to get vanity shots. In the stomach, no less. Lipodissolve shots in the abdomen are a clue in themselves; suffice it to say that if she had them, she wouldn’t have some intense phobia causing her to reject a flu shot. Especially one recommended as part of pre-natal care.
I’m going to make a decision on which pile of picture pieces this should go with – Sarah wasn’t pregnant. I say this not only because I'm a Trig Truther, but because it makes sense. If she had been carrying a child, she would have either said, “I had a flu shot this year,” because she would have already done that on the advise of her doctor, or, if she wasn't yet under a doctor's care, she would have done the same internet search I did, and discovered that she really needed to get one. In the latter case, her second email would more likely have said “Sign me up!”
She didn’t do either one, and I’m saying she didn’t act like a pregnant pro-life woman doing all she could to protect the unborn fetus within.

The turning point, Bristol tells In Touch in an exclusive interview, came last September, when — in a much-reported episode — she was accosted at the Saddle Ranch in LA by a man who hurled nasty insults at her about her famous family. After footage of the altercation went viral, Bristol, 21, realized she was done with showbiz — and that she’d never felt totally at home in the Lower 48. “I wasn’t really into the Hollywood thing,” she says. “After that, I just realized that I was over it. I was ready to come home.”

Lifetime announced Wednesday that the network has picked up a new documentary series focusing on Bristol Palin, daughter of 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and former contestant on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
The show, "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," was picked up for 10 half-hour episodes and will offer an insight into the life of the 21-year-old mother as she raises her 3-year-old son, Tripp. The network said the show will also focus on her relationship with her parents, Sarah and Todd Palin, and her siblings.
"From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding," said Rob Sharenow, executive vice president of programming for Lifetime Networks, in a news release Wednesday. "This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, mother and a young woman making her way in the world."
Palin first stepped into the spotlight in 2008, when her mother, the former Alaska governor, became Republican Sen. John McCain's vice presidential running mate.
At the age of 18, Palin gave birth to her son, garnering national attention because she was not married to the father, then-18-year-old Levi Johnston.
The two have been engaged and broken the engagement twice in the past four years.
After the birth of her son, Palin began working with the Candie's Foundation as an advocate for the prevention of teen pregnancy, speaking to teens about the importance of abstinence.
In 2010, Palin participated in "Dancing With the Stars" alongside celebrities David Hasselhoff, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from "Jersey Shore," Florence Henderson and Jennifer Grey. She placed third in the competition's 11th season.
Palin's memoir, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far," made the New York Times best-seller list after its release in 2011. The book chronicled her personal life and time spent in the public eye.
The current Lifetime series is already in production, but no clips of the show have been released. Network representatives said they plan to begin airing the series sometime this year.
As for Johnston's role in the series, his manager, Tank Jones, said he was offered a role by the producers, but they have yet to make a decision.
"I don't like surprises," Jones told ABC News. "I don't want him to walk into a bad situation -- not that we necessarily think it will be. We're just trying to be careful so we're looking at everything before he decides to participate in the show."
This is the second proposed series focused on Palin. The first, a reality show picked up by the BIO channel, was dropped in November, and would have included fellow "DWTS" contestant Kyle Massey.
Bristol is a media whore. And a money whore. And a sex whore. So why should we all be surprised by this? She is no longer Candie's spokeswoman, her book sales were a flop, and she failed in Hollywood. She needs to keep the grifting train from crashing.
