Sarah Palin and church

I wonder if Sarah ever attends church anymore. Does she still belong to any church?

Sarah was raised Catholic but joined the Assembly of God while in her teens.

Here is Sarah with the infamous Thomas Muthee:

Was Tripp ever baptized? I know Trig was because Frank Bailey mentioned it in his book.

Cheap Car Insurance for Men

Finding cheap car insurance for men is not always easy.  Statistics show that men are three times more likely to be involved in an automobile accident than their female counterparts – men under the age of 25 are at an even greater risk.  These startling statistics have caused insurance companies to take notice and action.  Today, male drivers can expect to pay far higher premium rates than other drivers on the road.

So, is it possible to find cheap car insurance for men?  Especially young men and teenagers?  The answer to that question is invariably yes. But, those lower rates may not offer the complete coverage that men need. Be sure that you understand what an individual policy offers and does not offer before signing on the dotted line.  A discount rate may not be worth the hassle should an accident occur and you need to file a claim.

When shopping for cheap car insurance, men should consider some of these cost-cutting efforts before taking on a policy with limited coverage or even dangerous gaps in important coverage:

Downsizing

Cars with more powerful engines usually cost more to insure.  That means an eight-cylinder engine will have a higher insurance rate than a four cylinder one.  The age, model and even the extra features on your vehicle can all add cost to your insurance policy. Men are notorious for choosing newer sporty “fun” cars to show off.  That is fine if you do not mind paying extra for the privilege.  If, however, you are on a quest for cheaper insurance, then you might want to consider trading it that SUV or other high-end vehicle for an older model mini-van, sedan or smaller standard vehicle that is void of all of those “extras.”

Keeping Your Record Clean

Nothing will kill am man’s insurance rate faster than a poor driving record. That includes more than accidents.  Tickets too can add dollars to your premiums.  Every speeding ticket or other vehicular infraction you get caught with is recorded and your insurance company is notified.  Just one speeding ticket or ticket for running a stop sign can add 5-20% to a man’s annual insurance rate.  Become a habitual ticket collector and you will be considered a high risk driver and pay the price for your sloppiness.  In the event you do find yourself getting a ticket, there is something you can do to help lower your rates again: take a safe drivers class.  Making the commitment to learn safer driving techniques will show your insurance company that you have learned from your mistake and they will likely rescind their rate increase after a few months.

Choosing Your Coverage Carefully

Picking and choosing the type of coverage and riders you have on your vehicle can also keep rates low.  Opt out of any non-essentials that you can (like rental coverage or even collision on older models).  Just be sure that you have the right amount of insurance to cover your expense sin an accident.  It is also important to carry the proper amount and coverage if you have a loan out on your vehicle. Check with your lender for their requirements.

Ask for Discounts

Most insurance carriers offer a myriad of discounts to policyholders; even male ones.  By utilizing all of the discounts you can, you may be able to lower your insurance rates by up to one half.  Here are just some of the most popular auto discounts being offered by the main carriers within the insurance industry:

  • safe driver discount – manage to go a certain amount of time (usually 12-36 months) without filing an insurance claim and get 5-20% off your insurance bill
  • auto theft protection: have an alarm installed in your car and get a break on your insurance bill
  • multi-driver discount:  add another driver to your policy and see your rates shrink. Married drivers typically get an even deeper discount.
  • higher deductible discount: be willing to pay a little more in the event of an accident and you can save big bucks on your annual premium
  • multi-policy discount: be willing to give all of your insurance business to one carrier and you can enjoy deep discounts on them all

At first glance, it may seem as if men pay more in auto insurance than they should, and that may be true. Lucky for them, there are ways to get cheap car insurance – or at least get their rates cut for a better deal. The trick is to be a smart consumer and an even smarter (and safer0 driver.

The Founding Fathers were not so great

Sarah Palin and the Teabaggers talk about how great the Founding Fathers were and that they were all Christian. It's time to give them a history lesson.

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson fathered six children with slave Sally Hemings.

Jefferson rejected Evangelical Christianity and was a Deist. He wrote the Jefferson bible and advocated separation of church and state. He was also anti-Catholic. So he would not get an endorsement from Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.

Jefferson also read and studied the Koran.

Benjamin Franklin

Franklin fathered a child out wedlock named William. William like his dad also fathered a child out of wedlock, William Temple Franklin. And William Temple kept up the family tradition by fathering a son and daughter without the benefit of marriage with two separate women. Franklin grew up in a Liberal Puritan church. He claimed to be a Deist and a Christian.

An interesting quote from Franklin:

"Even if the Mufti [chief jurist] of Constantinople [from the Muslim Ottoman Empire] were to send a missionary to preach Mohammedanism to us, he would find a pulpit at his service."

George Washington

Washington was a slave owner, recognized 22 religious groups including Islam. He also hosted iftars.

Alexander Hamilton

Hamilton was a constitutional lawyer just like President Obama. He was also born outside the United States (where's the birth certificate?) He was born and raised in Nevis, an island in the Caribbean. Hamilton had a close friendship with John Laurens and Gilbert du Motier, marquis de Lafayette, so close some historians wondered if he was gay.

Sarah is nominated for a Razzy

From Yahoo News

The Razzies (also known as the Golden Raspberry awards), are in their 32nd year of celebrating the industry's worst films. And Adam Sandler's Jack & Jill cleaned up in this year's nominations, receiving 12 Razzie nods though it was eligible in only 10 categories. That's right, the film was so heinous in the eyes of the Razzie voters that it was nominated multiple times per category. Talk about a dis-honor. Not even the vampiric action of Twilight could outshine Sandler's gender-bending travesty.

Worst Actress

- Martin Lawrence (As "Momma"), Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son

- Sarah Palin (As "Herself"), Sarah Palin: The Undefeated

- Sarah Jessica Parker, I Don't Know How She Does It and New Year's Eve

- Adam Sandler (As "Jill"), Jack & Jill

- Kristen Stewart, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I

This is one honor I'm rooting for Sarah to win. They should have given her the award last year for Sarah Palin's Alaska. Hell that whole fucking Palin family should have gotten Razzies.

Sarah's college education, or lack of

Anonymous Feb 22, 2012 12:42 AM

Still playing the elitest card huh? Besides elected office, name one professional accomplishment savior Obama has. One that he hasn't contradicted. What's funny, his precious acorn is even controversial. Controversial because he gave conflicting answers in terms of his involvement with them.

LOSER. He is living proof not all people who attend Harvard go on to be great thinkers and doers. Some people get by with a little help from their media friends. Obama best be kissing the media's ass.

Anonymous Feb 22, 2012 12:49 AM

Formal education means nothing if people know how to live their best life. And yes that makes sense.

I wonder when EXACTLY Sarah went from being the serious, studious person as she was in grade and secondary school to an advocate for good, hard working, blue collar folk. Could be Todd's influence, as he is of sound mind and abled body without "snooty" high degrees. I've met way too many people in my life who give higher education a bad name. I generally have more respect for average Joes with either Bachelor Degrees or specialized skills than I do people with attitudes and Ph Ds. But that's me and my experiences with the blue bloods and high society. I've met most people of stature in this country. Barbara Walters - successful, intelligent, Cunt. Roger Ailes - personable, hilarious, kind, conflicted. Angelina Jolie - sweetheart, genuine humanitarian.

Obviously this is Sarah, cuz she mentions her boss Roger Ailes

I wonder what these people think of Sarah Palin now

Anonymous Feb 23, 2012 09:07 AM

If you're going to compare Palin to H Clinton, talk about how they were both described in Game Change. People said nearly identical things about them. Yet the Hillary sentiments are ignored whereas the Palin stories are used for media fodder and money-making purposes. HACKS. Our media would say anything if it guaranteed 1 million clicks. And that was true long before Sarah Palin graced even the local stage.

Anonymous Feb 23, 2012 09:14 AM

Detractors aside, Sarah Palin is a winner, and like the bold and gutsy Americans before her, has stepped up and demonstrably reminded us, without shame, that it is noble to have some guts, to not shrink in the face of relentless naysayers, and to champion the principles that honest men and women hold dear. Thanks for setting the bar high again, sister!

- Joel, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, 06/11/2009 18:41

My thought: Well, this is still true of her. She is daring and unafraid to speak out against the shadiness and manipulations of the current adminstration.

What a brilliant woman! Still the media chase and harass poor Sarah. Why? Because they are scared of her and what she represents and she is every thing the Democrats are not. Hundreds of reporters descended on her home town to dig up dirt on her prior to the election, but they came back with nothing. What was reported much was fabricated. So now on the eve of Palin's book release, we have a couple of nobodys trying to dish dirt on the woman. She resigned for one reason. The countless law suits brought against her placed the woman in debt to the tune of $400,000 to defend those baseless charges. Good luck to her if she makes a killing with the release of her biography. You better believe it, she is coming back, bigger and better. A recent invitation to the all male Establishment Club, saw Palin as the first woman ever invited to speak at that illustrious venue. She received a standing ovation frpom some of the wealthiest people in America. Look out Obama! Here comes Sarah!

- bill, adelaide, australia, 06/11/2009 08:57

My thought: this is also true. Speaking to people who actually know her, much as been completely made up about her. Good people have been burned by click and money-hungry journalists. Her own stories were taken and given a negative spin.

Sarah Palin is charming, chic, and charismatic. She is adorable.

- Lola Barnes, Atlanta, USA, 05/11/2009 22:55

My thought: still true. She still resonates with people whom she meets face to face. As long as they're not a hateful bitch to her for no reason.

Answer me this: Precisely WHAT has Sarah Palin ever done wrong? (And you can't use made up quotes from SNL, made up stories from liberal rags like this one, nor can you use any of the phony ethics charges that were filed against her.) I await your response...

- Marco, Wilmington, DE, 05/11/2009 20:25

Me: This is a good point. What specifically can actually be proven against her without bias?
This blog is just one example of someone putting their ignorant opinion (meaning you've never met her therefore cannot comment rationally and intellectually). Gryphen and politicalhates are the pros at this.

After looking at all those ugly idiotic women that Obama surrounds himself with - Napolitano, Sebelius, Clinton - the USA surly now regrets that a woman of Palin's fine character, charm, grace, and yes, beauty is not the vice president not to mention the current VP Joe Biden is a complete buffoon who has his foot permanently inserted into his mouth. Any VP would've been better than that lout.

- J, Somewhere, USA, 05/11/2009 19:03

And this is out of line imho. Looks and charisma should mean nothing in politics. WIthout them, Obama would be nothing in life, for example.

I bolded Sarah, I mean the troll's comments. Sarah thanks for admitting President Obama is good looking and has charisma.

Sarah defends Rick Santorum's Satan comment

Yes Satan is destroying America. And Satan is in the shape and form of Sarah Palin.

Think about it.

Satan and Sarah both 5 letters

Satan and Sarah both start with the letters S and A

There is also an A for the 4th letter in both their names

Fred's Babygate book

When is Fred's Babygate book going to be published? It is real or was it just a myth?

And is Brad Scharlott Fred?

I would be very disappointed if this book does not come to fruition.

I wonder what these people think of Sarah Palin now

I did a little googling on old Sarah Palin articles and went to the comments section of them. I have posted some of the pro-Sarah comments pre-resignation and pre-Tucson shooting. I wonder what these people think of Sarah now.

Sarah's college education, or lack of

We all know Sarah took 5 years and about 5 colleges to earn a Bachelors degree which came from the University of Idaho. However we have no idea what her grades were or what her class rank was.

President Obama graduated valedictorian of his class at Harvard Law School

John McCain was 5th from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy

Joe Biden was 506th out of 688 in his class. He admitted he spent more time playing football and hanging out with his girlfriend than studying.

What was Sarah's class rank?

Announcement regarding this blog

Starting this week I am taking online classes to be a travel agent. My goal is to graduate from the class, get certified, then hired on by a travel agency or just start my own.

As a result I will not have as much time for this blog with the classes and work. I plan to keep it online and try to post a couple times a week, so if there are long stretches where I don't post that is what is going on. I have a full time job that is not satisfying, the pay is OK but management mistreats it's employees and I need to get out of there.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I start this journey in my career and education.

Obamacare is working!

Wow he's unbearable I couldn't listen to that half wit anymore :( to get the story.

This could be a good blog if you were more knowledgeable. I'm trying to help here, please. 1. Do NOT use the term 'ObamaCare'; it's a Luntzian GOP term used only by opponents of the law and people that don't know much about politics z 2. Your lack of knowledge of politics is obvious. Try to work on that and learn the conservative viewpoint so you can be aware when you are inadvertently helping them like spreading the term Obamacare. 3. Please stop borrowing so heavily from IM posts! And stop borrowing Gryphens terms, nicknames, memes, jokes etc. recently you posted a blog that was a virtual copy of Gryphens from the day before using the exact same photos! Get some originality and make the site yours.

Jeremy Lin is Sarah's latest victim

AnonymousFeb 18, 2012 04:32 AM

She's just so omniscient. Please. Get a life.

Lookie, I can predict the future too. I say you will be a loser forever. See how accurate I am.

Jeremy Lin is Sarah's latest victim

From NBC Sports

Not the way Jeremy Lin handled the ball Friday night, and he put the blame for the loss that halted Linsanity squarely on himself.

Lin committed nine turnovers, tied for the most in the NBA this season, and New York's seven-game winning streak was stopped 89-85 by the New Orleans Hornets.

Lin scored 26 points, but his turnovers nearly doubled his five assists and the Knicks lost for the first time with Lin as a starter, falling back below .500 at 15-16 heading into a matchup with the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

"Just a lackluster effort on my part coming out and careless with the ball, and so nine turnovers is obviously never going to get it done from your primary ballhandler," Lin said. "It's on me in terms of taking care of the ball and also the game in general.

"I think everyone wants to credit me for this last seven games, then I definitely deserve this one on my shoulders and so that's fine with me.

Earlier this week Sarah endorsed Jeremy:

Sarah knock it off! Every good thing you touch turns to shit. Tim Tebow now Jeremy Lin. Stick with touching shitty things like Joe Miller, Christine O'Donnell, and Karen Handel OK you bitch?

Sarah Palin really doesn't want to be the POTUS

She wants to be an ex-POTUS

From CNN.com

Being president pays; $400,000 a year, in fact.

That salary has increased over time. President Harry Truman left office in 1949 making $100,000. When Richard Nixon entered the White House in 1969 the salary went up to $200,000. It remained there for 30 years, until Congress doubled the presidential salary effective in 2001, when President George W. Bush took office.

Aside from the pay, there's the free transportation in the presidential limousine, Marine One and Air Force One. And don't forget the free housing in Washington's most famous mansion, complete with a killer view of the Washington Monument, along with other perks (a personal chef, for one).

When a president leaves the White House he's still on the government payroll, receiving an annual pension of about $200,000, health care, paid official travel and an office.

Rent for President Jimmy Carter's Atlanta office is $102,000 per year, according to 2010 figures compiled by the Congressional Research Service. President George H. W. Bush's Houston office costs $175,000 per year. President Bill Clinton's office in the pricey real estate market of New York City is $516,000.

Not too bad, huh?

But these taxpayer-funded benefits are nothing compared to the big bucks presidents rake in writing books.

"My Life" netted Bill Clinton a $15 million advance.

George W. Bush earned $7 million for the first 1.5 million copies of "Decision Points."

Jimmy Carter has written 14 books.

"He was broke when he came out of the White House," presidential historian James Thurber said. "If you can write or you can write with someone else, you can write a book and make a great deal of money. Jimmy Carter did that."

President Obama wrote "Dreams From My Father" in his 30s. Initially, it was only a modest success, selling better as his political star rose, flying off shelves when he ran for president.

"I have been blessed," he said on the campaign trail in 2008. "Before this book started selling we were living in a condo and we had two cars, but one of them was beat up."

Book sales are still the Obamas' main source of income.

For the biggest payoff without too much work, speeches are the way to go. And Bill Clinton is the reigning king of the podium.

Right after Clinton left the White House in 2001, the Greater Washington Association of Executives paid him $125,000 for a speech, a very standard price for a former president.

"I've never had any money until I got out of the White House," Clinton told CNN's Wolf Blitzer in 2010. "But I've done reasonably well since then."

That's quite the understatement. Since 2001, he's earned $75.6 million giving speeches to corporations and organizations around the world, according to the latest financial disclosure required of his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The Center for Public Integrity estimates George W. Bush has made $15 million from speeches since leaving office.

All of that money raises questions.

"I think the American people think American politics is all about money," Thurber said. "And this certainly doesn't change their view."

In 1989, right after President Ronald Reagan left the White House, he was lambasted for accepting $2 million for two speeches in Japan, then an economic foe of the United States.

Not all presidents have gotten rich after leaving office.

Harry Truman couldn't afford to answer the copious mail he received or respond to requests for appearances. This prompted Congress to adopt pensions and benefits for former presidents in the 1950s so they weren't forced into activities deemed unsuitable for a former head of state.

Some presidents come into office already very rich. If elected, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney would fall into that category. With a net worth of about $200 million, he would be the third-richest president in history.

Adjusting for inflation, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington were the richest people to become president. (Incidentally, the pay they made in office was, for that time, nothing to sneeze at: $25,000).

Washington's wealth in present-day terms has been estimated at more than a half-billion dollars.

I think this is Sarah's real plan. Get elected POTUS, quit after two years, collect a pension, collect rent for her office, go on speaking tours complete with bendy straws, and write ghostwritten books.

Also this article proves the Founding Fathers were just a bunch of rich old white men

What else could Bristol have been named for?

Sarah says Bristol was named after Bristol CT where ESPN is located and Bristol Bay where Todd does his commercial fishing.

What else could Bristol have been named after, considering Sarah's sick sense of humor?

This!

And to prove I'm not making up the Bristol Stool Scale you can read about it here

Bristol being named after the stool scale would be very fitting, since the Palins are full of shit.

Son Needs More Coverage

Hello There!  I am intrigued by your illustration here and I thought all this time that Car Liability Insurance is only for damaged property. My son is the one driving our car and he is only 20. I am glad I saw this information so I can add a higher limit to his insurance. I have to call his insurance company and get a higher coverage. I understand now that there are 3 limits and it includes bodily injury. Wow! That is such a relief! My son usually goes to parties and sometimes has a couple of beers when he is out with friends and that worries me so much. I think I have learned more about his insurance now. I have talked to an agent earlier and I discovered he has very low coverage. I don’t think it is enough or him. He is too young and really isn’t that responsible yet. I would not want to end up paying or all his damages when the time comes.

He is also rather accident prone so I hope he will be a little bit more careful with his driving. He has 25/50/25 coverage now and I think I will increase it to 100 /50/100. I don’t mind spending a little bit more so I will be at peace when I sleep at night and he still isn’t home from partying.

I know I still treat him like a baby but he will be 21 years old next year and I hope he will learn more responsibility on the road. I know that if ever he will meet an accident, he will really be at fault. More often than not, he texts or calls while driving. His girlfriend doesn’t help also. She also is a party girl. I hope she will be a good influence and ask him not to text while driving or drive when a couple of beers have. It is better safe than sorry. Thanks for the very useful information guys!

Happy Valentine's Day to the following couples

Wishing each of you a Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to these couples:

Here is a couple that will probably celebrate Valentine's by throwing cans at each other:

Over the past two years we have heard rumors of Sarah and Todd divorcing. As far as we know they have not. Nothing is on record of them doing so.

At Track's wedding they were not wearing wedding rings:

But at the recent CPAC convention it looked like Sarah had a band of gold on her finger:

So are Sarah and Todd back together if they split? Did Sarah marry someone else? Or did Sarah wear that ring to prove to the world she is a happily married woman?

Speaking of that pic, Willow looks like she has put on some weight. Is she preggers. And if so who's the daddy?

Results from Maine's caucus

Mittens won Maine like I expected. Ron Paul was pretty damned close to beating him. And Gingrich finished last. LAST! I seriously wonder if Sarah is a closet DNC operative to ruin Gingrich. Surely she knows she is the kiss of death for any candidate.

Trailer Trash goes to Washington

Sarah thinks the GOP should have a brokered convention.

Here is Sarah screeching at CPAC. Shout out to GinaM for this pic

Sarah and Willow. Willow looks like she put on some weight. Baby weight perhaps? And why does Sarah have to wear the most garish belt buckles. Does she want the men to ogle her crotch or something?

I'm not going to put up the video of Sarah screeching at CPAC. Don't want to damage any ears.

Last but not least here is Bristol at her give-away. Yeah she looks really busy. (Scarcasm)

And that concludes this episode of "Trailer Trash goes to Washington"

Bristol giving away copies of Not Afraid of Life

Anonymous Feb 10, 2012 09:24 AM

Sounds like your disappointed you weren't in the pussy line

First of all I'm a straight female. If I was a lesbian or a guy I would stay away from that snatch. And thank you for admitting Bristol had a line of guys to give her pussy to.

What Sarah is going to do on her birthday today

Go to CPAC, toss up some word salad and insult President Obama

Stop at Wal-Mart and stock up on Red Bull and canned goods

Go through the drive up window at Taco Bell

Order some Crunchwrap Supremes

Go home and eat them and down the Red Bull

Go out to the Mugshot and snort come coke

Go home and throw the canned goods at the fridge

Here is the birthday cake some delusional Palinbot made for Sarah:

Like a cake is going to convince Sarah to run.

WTF? Sarah Palin gets Woman of the Year Award?

From the Cypress Times

The Clare Booth Luce Institute is conferring its Woman of the Year Award upon former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin because she chose to put her family ahead of running for the Presidency, Michelle Easton, President of the Institute said during an interview with Stephen K. Bannon on his February 5, Victory Sessions Show.

Easton said,

The Clare Booth Luce Institute exists to prepare and promote women conservative leaders, and each year, we honor one extraordinary woman who like our organization’s namesake Clare Booth Luce shows leadership, and grace, and dedication to advancing conservative principles. And this year, we are giving our Woman of the Year Award to Governor Sarah Palin. And it’s not just because of what she’s done and she’s done a tremendous amount – an inspiration to so many. It’s also because of what she didn’t do. Now doesn’t that sound odd, an award for what she didn’t do. Now, let me explain: she wanted to run very badly against President Obama’s failed leadership – it was so apparent. She really wanted to, but in the end she didn’t. She didn’t, because she put her special little baby, her children, and her husband first in her life. And this is such a rare, kind of a very visible example of somebody putting their family first in their lives and courageously speaking out about it. And that’s why she’s the Woman of the Year. Because, she didn’t run this year and she wanted to put her little baby, her children and the First Dude first in her life for this time period.

Hundreds of young female undergraduate students will be present for the award ceremony. Many of these women got involved in the … debates when she was nominated for Vice President. They were so inspired by her. And the truth is that in most of the universities in popular culture and on the left, conservative women are marginalized and sometimes savaged.

About Gov. Palin’s essay on special needs children which ran in the Daily Beast, Easton said, “It’s a beautiful essay about how every parent, moms and dad struggle with commitments about our children, families and work and how sometimes when making decisions about our careers, you have to put the family first. And she’s said she’s never regretted it.”

Easton described the life of Clare Booth Luce and how she became the Institute’s namesake, saying,

Well, she was quite a remarkable woman, very much ahead of her time. She died in 1987. She had a brilliant professional career. She had a very strong family life, good marriage, and she had very deep faith, so when I formed this institute 19 years ago, well ‘who to name it after?’ You know after close study, there was absolutely no contest. There was nobody who done all that she had done. In fact, one of the pictures is my favorite one. It’s the 1944 Republican National Convention. 1944. Clare Booth Luce is giving the keynote speech and it was at a time when – let’s face it when the women were not at the podium – and she laid into Roosevelt – he lied us into war….but she was conservative. She was anti-Communist, she was free-market-oriented, she was traditional values, she was very religious. She has never taught in women’s studies or in women’s history.

Easton also detailed Clare Booth Luce’s connection to President Reagan.

President Reagan was a strong admirer of Luce. He had given her the highest civilian honor, and he had her as part of his administration in an advisory capacity. “She is someone who young women can look to for inspiration,” Easton said noting that the institute works primarily with young women in college. “She did an awful lot and as Gov. Palin says, ‘you can do it all, you just can’t do it all at once.’ ”

“Clare Booth Luce’s life is an example of somebody who did so many different things at different times in her life, but she was a conservative, a traditionalist, somebody of great faith.”

Obviously Michelle Easton has never read this blog, The Immoral Minority, Malia Litman, Shailey Tripp's blog, Syrin's blog, The Palin Place, and Palingates

Then again Luce and Palin have something in common. Both of them hated Democrat presidents, and spread lies about them during their time in office.

And how can Sarah be Woman of the Year. I guess if you lie about your pregnancy, neglect your kids, lie about the POTUS, incite violence, and show up on FOX News stoned out of your mind, your a shoo-in.

This is why I no longer read Newsweek

From The Daily Beast

Last week, Rick Santorum and his family offered us a reminder of what really matters. When his 3-year-old daughter, Bella, born with Trisomy 18, was hospitalized with pneumonia, Rick left the campaign trail to be by her bedside. In the middle of this very heated campaign season, many of us prayed through tears for Bella’s health and added prayers of thankfulness for a public example of someone’s sacrifice made with the right priorities.

It’s a sacrifice every parent and caregiver of a child with special needs sympathizes with. Families of children with special needs are bonded by a shared experience of the joys, challenges, fears, and blessings of raising these beautiful children whom we see as perfect in this imperfect world.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, on rope lines at rallies across the country, my husband, Todd, and I met so many of these families and caretakers, and I’ll never forget them. There was an instant connection—a kind of mutual acknowledgment that said, “Yes, these children are precious and loved. Yes, we face extra fears and challenges, but our children are a blessing, and the rest of the world is missing out in not knowing this.”

Every parent struggles with juggling the commitments of work and family. Women, especially, know this well. Over the years, I’ve learned that women can “have it all,” just not all at once. For me, it was a lesson learned through the school of hard knocks, but it was one my own mother made me aware of when she calmly told me that as a working mom in the rough-and-tumble political arena, I would have to make tough choices. We all do. In making decisions about my career, I’ve put my family first, and I’ve never regretted it, although it has meant periodically putting particular pursuits on the back burner.

When I discovered early in my pregnancy that my baby would be born with an extra chromosome, the diagnosis of Down syndrome frightened me so much that I dared not discuss my pregnancy for many months. All I could seem to muster was a calling out to God to prepare my heart for what was ahead. My prayers were answered beyond my shallow understanding of what true joy could be. Yes, raising a child with special needs is a unique challenge, and there’s still fear about my son Trig’s future because of health and social challenges; and certainly some days are much more difficult than if I had a “normal” child.

Many everyday activities like doctor’s appointments and social gatherings and travel accommodations and even mealtimes and a solid night of sleep are that much more difficult, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t trade the relative difficulties for any convenience or absence of fear. God knew what he was doing when he blessed us with Trig. We went from fear of the unknown to proudly displaying a bumper sticker sent to us that reads: “My kid has more chromosomes than your kid!” He may not be the next Wayne Gretzky, but our hearts are filled with so much pride watching Trig giggle with his sisters’ puppies, or sway to the rhythm of his Little Angels DVDs, it’s as if he were hoisting the Stanley Cup.

Granted, I know I may be more fortunate than others to have loving friends and a big, supportive family I call on to help, including a husband who spends many sleepless nights with this restless little one. (And Todd actually makes Trig’s puréed baby food!) Others aren’t so fortunate, and in our thankfulness I am made more compassionate toward others who have less.

I often think now, what would we do without Trig? He’s our “everything that really matters.”

Trig is almost 4 years old now, and every morning when he wakes up, he pulls himself up, rubs the sleep out of his eyes, looks around, and then starts applauding! He welcomes each day with thunderous applause and laughter. He looks around at creation and claps as if to say, “OK, world, what do you have for me today?”

My family knows that Trig will face struggles that few of us will ever have to endure, including people who can be so cruel to those not deemed “perfect” by society. The cruelty is more than made up for, though, when someone simply smiles at our son. Nothing makes me prouder. As I explained in a Thanksgiving article, I notice it happens often in airports. Travelers passing by will do a double-take when they see him, perhaps curious about the curious look on his face; or perhaps my son momentarily exercises an uncontrollable motion that takes the passerby by surprise. Perhaps, as an innocent and candid child announced when she first met Trig, they think, “He’s awkward.” But when that traveler pauses to look again and smiles, and maybe tells me what a handsome boy I have, I swell with pride. I am so thankful for their good hearts. They represent the best in our country, and their kindness shows the real hope we need today.

My family understands that up ahead, some days will be better than others. We will adapt and juggle things and work through it. But Trig applauds the day. And that’s what he teaches us. That’s our priority, and we’re blessed by it.

I smell bullshit on this one.

Todd still purees Trig's food? Trig should be able to eat solid foods by now. Even if he does have Down's. If he cannot eat solid food by now then Sarah and Todd have done a poor job in getting him developed.

Why has Sarah donated so little money to charities that specialize in Down's Syndrome?

I doubt Sarah and Todd take Trig anywhere, especially to airports. There has not been a public sighting of Trig in ages.

Trig looks way too much like Levi in this picture. Don't you think?

It's rich that Sarah blasts Newsweek for giving Andrew Sullivan any print but she will run to them so she can get sympathy. Guess she is really worried about Babygate being exposed and Game Change airing in a month.

Now it's Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri's turn to pick the GOP Nominee, I mean loser

Colorado (caucus)
Minnesota (caucus)
Missouri (primary) – *See note below on Missouri

Missouri will hold a primary on February 7th, 2012, which will not count for delegates toward the 2012 GOP convention. The Missouri Republican Party will hold a caucus on March 17th, 2012, which will determine the delegates sent to the 2012 GOP convention

Somewhere near Lake Lucille a refrigerator is screaming in agony

Mittens won the Nevada primary on Saturday. I thought Nevada would go Gingrich considering they elected a slimeball named John Ensign for Senator a while back. Oh well.

I hope Sarah's fridge isn't suffering too badly.

Or they're tired of the truth being ignored by biased, irrational koolaid addicts. Why would people who are able to see the world without hate-tinted glasses feel humiliated? Why don't you, someone who chooses to believe lies, feel stupid or immoral? Fair question.

Brad Scharlott is writing a book about Babygate

Anonymous Feb 1, 2012 08:35 AM

I don't think McCain hates America. How can you assume that? he probably despites the staff members he replaced his moral staffers with, the people who selected Palin for him.

When all's said and done, we COULD be in a much worse place without Sarah and others highlighting all the deceptions and manipulations of the democrats. THe liberal media can't get away with coverups for long.

Oh and my comment to this: "The pregnancy hoax makes Watergate look insignificant in comparison. "

Are you kidding? SERIOUSLY.

Anonymous Feb 1, 2012 08:38 AM

BRad claiming he's an expert on these matters is like Gryphen saying his tripe posts make him credible. They're all gossipy. Politicalgates has even had gossipy, more fiction than not, posts. It comes with the territory of putting yourself at the feet of others. People lie. We know this. Alaskans have lied. It's impossible to distinguish between lies and fiction.

Sad thing is, people don't consider a third party's feelings when they write about false rumors and state they're fact.

DD Feb 1, 2012 08:40 AM

Anon 7:32, I call that the Axelrod way.

Anonymous Feb 1, 2012 09:00 AM

I hope Brad can separate rumor, truth and fiction. We technically have no truth in this equation. It's all outrageous rumors and a lot of fiction from people's wild imaginations.

Again, I think people should investigate Christian adoption agencies. Esp with Sarah church ties. I don't think she'd use Franklin G for this (but that's purely a guess). I know that most of her close staff had no reasons to believe Trig is not Sarah's and they saw her daily.

That's what makes this weird. There's no one for Sarah to cover for as all family members were accounted for during the gestation process. If you believe Bailey's story about Sarah talking about it being cool for a Gov to have a baby, This all makes sense. If you add Heather's email in Oct and Sarahs past work with OCS, IT ALL MAKES SENSE. She was told of a random baby with DS whom was going to be adopted out or even aborted and she told the mother she'd adopt him.

The pregnancy has never changed. She was due in May and always wrote this since THEN. I personally think he WAS born on April 18, a month early. POSSIBLY March, two months early. Trig was tiny. Everyone from her life then comments how tiny he was and how grown he is now.

No one thinks anything of Trig, just that's he's the cutest child ever, little angel baby.

I think Trig truthers are going to receive a huge backlash. Personal opinion.

And I agree with ^, this is NOT bigger than watergate or several other political situations. Quiet manipulations happen daily. Americans are generally too brainwashed to think anything of them. College students are targeted by Dems before they get out in the world and realize how these naturally work. You criticize the GOP for being greedy but how many hollywood dems are purely selfless? Some of the loudest ones don't even vote, despite protests. I can guarantee a lot of those types hide money or manipulate their accounts to avoid high tax brackets. High taxes are not American when the money isn't spent honestly anyway.

A group of unethical good ol boys in DC should NOT have the power to dictate just how much you can keep of your own earnings. HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT?

Most highly wealthy people don't even have income the way we do, do they don't pay the same taxes. Which GOPer said he'd raise Cap gains? Corps have entirely different rules altogether so technically they are not people.

I remember at some public college somewhere, Obama was scheduled to speak and his people went to classes trying to acquire audience members. No one wanted to go. Though this was in late 09 I believe. maybe early 10.

People need to stop demonized people for being "greedy". It is not a crime. If they're evading taxes or committing actual crimes, then I'd hope they'd be punished. Newt was punished and possibly learned. As far as I can see, Romney's not a hardened criminal. He's just from a successful family who has a mind for business.

Here is the SarahPac report for July-Dec 2011

Lou Sarah Feb 2, 2012 11:36 AM

I believe ¨North Star¨ was the code name the Secret Service used for Governor Palin in the 2008 campaign. Therefore, Federal Agents fancied Governor Palin to be a ¨star.¨

And, no, Governor Palin did not pay Rebecca Mansour $48,000 in hush money to keep her from posting as ¨Anonymous Guest¨ here or elsewhere. Anyone who says otherwise is spreading malicious lies.

Nevada and Maine are caucusing today

While Nevada's caucus is a one-day affair, Maine's lasts an entire week.

I can see Nevada going for Newt or Rick, and Mittens taking Maine.

Of course Sarah is connected with Susan G. Komen

From Green Celebrity

There has been a shocking development in the Planned Parenthood scandal started by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. First the non-profit organization pulled all their charitable donations away from the women’s health care clinic that were slated to pay for breast cancer screenings for poor women. After a huge public outcry that the organization was not really interested in the life and health of women, the group recanted their decision to cut funding and issued a formal public apology for their brief yet misguided decision. Everyone wondering who was in charge of the public gaff is now looking right at the charity’s Senior VP, a woman named Karen Handel. Guess what? She’s an outspoken pro-life advocate with deep ties to Republican – Tea Party conservative and reality TV star Sarah Palin.

Planned Parenthood has had a windfall of donations coming in from American women who are outraged that the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation released a press announcement that they were pulling all their funding from Planned Parenthood. The organization used Komen’s money to help poor women get breast cancer screening. Now, critics are saying the controversial decision to cut funding shows that the foundation is not really concerned with women’s health issues at all. They claim the organization that has brilliantly marketed the color pink is just interested in making big bucks for themselves and their top-tier staff while self promoting. But who was responsible for the decision to pull the rug out from under the feet of impoverished women who rely on Planned Parenthood to help them with women’s health issues? “The harsh social media spotlight cast on Susan G. Komen for the Cure is now shifting to Karen Handel, the organization’s senior vice president for public policy and, some suspect, the architect behind the decision that has led to the worst public relations disaster in the organization’s history…” said the L.A. Times in their news review of the escalating situation.

Like everyone else who uses social media daily, they noticed the breast cancer charity coming under fire and the series of tweets and Facebook status updated calling for people to stop supporting the organization or Karen Handel’s firing.

Celebrity supporters of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation include Ellen Degeneres, George W. Bush, Neil Patrick Harris, Mimi Rogers, Christie Brinkley, Cynthia Nixon, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Jennifer Tilly, Vanessa Hudgens, Laura Bush, and Ann Curry. Obviously, the star celebs who have helped them raise money represent both liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans. For that reason, wouldn’t it make sense that the people they put in charge be able to steer a neutral course politically while promoting the health of women and their general welfare without playing politics in a way that promotes the special interests of any political party?

The suspicion is that Handel, a political insider tied with Sarah Palin and Republican cronies, targeted the non-profit to be cut off from the “think pink” pink ribbon charity. Because she’s essentially the person in charge of all the major decisions about where and how the organization spends the millions of dollars they take in annually, the fact that she’s pro-life and that Planned Parenthood was impacted so seriously by the withdrawn funds looks really suspicious on the surface. Everyone who’s discussing the scandal is talking about whether or not Handel’s background as a pro-lifer creates a conflict of interest for her with regard to her position.

LA Times shared, “Komen has long been under pressure by conservatives to cut ties with Planned Parenthood because it provides a variety of reproductive health care services, including abortions. Critics say Komen engineered the perfect out in 2011 when it revised its internal rules to bar the organization from funding another organization under an investigative cloud. The Atlantic notes that while Komen provides funding to hundreds of organizations, the new rule affected only one: Planned Parenthood.”

Karen Handel first made history as a public figure back in 2006 when, “she became the first Republican and only the second woman to be elected as secretary of state in Georgia.” According to sources, she quit her position to further her own political career. Backed by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, she launched a campaign to become the party’s nominee for governor. Funny enough, one of the core messages of her campaign was the fact she’s pro-life and strongly opposes the goals of Planned Parenthood.

Fortunately for all the women who find themselves in the tough position of facing the possibility of a medical or lifestyle crisis due to an unplanned pregnancy, Karen Handel did not win the nomination bid (with or without Sarah Palin’s assistance).

“Internet archivists say they have unearthed archival pages of the blog that Handel reportedly wrote — the blog has since been taken offline — while she was running for governor. In one posting, she reportedly promises to “be a pro-life governor,”…” then adding a very damning line that said “since I am pro-life, I do not support the mission of Planned Parenthood.”

As for Handel supporters denial that she is a danger to the public image or the organization because of her political beliefs think about this:

Palin whipped up the crowd of several hundred in a hotel ballroom… just one day before the Republican runoff that [ended] a bitter three-week fight between Handel – one of Palin’s “Mama Grizzlies” – and her rival, former Rep. Nathan Deal.

“Are you ready to ‘Bring it On’?!,” she said, using the Handel campaign’s slogan.

The audience of enthusiastic supporters responded with cheers and chants of “Sa-rah!”

“It’s epic. It’s historic,” Palin once said of Handel’s pro-life campaign. The political guru then explained why she was so interested in the Deep South political race, one that pitted the female political hopeful against a male member of the state’s Republican establishment who had been vetted in the position long-term.

“The eyes of America are on you, Georgia, to see if you really do want that positive change and to get rid of that ‘good-ole-boy’ network that really gets in the way of just doing the thing that the people who want to hire a good governor are expecting of their government…” said the Tea Party favorite.

Somehow, knowing that Karen Handel might be behind the Planned Parenthood scandal makes us want to drink a toast to the women’s health victory of having the decision repealed — with a formal public apology from the organization (which was in fact issued today) — with a great big glass of Southern style sweet tea. Besides, mama grizzlies rarely look good in the color pink.

The second I heard Karen Handel is running this lovely organization I knew Sarah had a hand in it.

While I do not approve of abortion, Planned Parenthood has probably saved more lives with their cancer screening and prevented more abortions by giving out birth control than they have performing abortions. My Senator Amy Klobuchar wrote a letter to SGK blasting their decision. You can read that letter here:

What SGK really is a death panel. Guess that's what Palin, Handel, and the rest of the right wing nut jobs really want.

While I have never donated money to SGK back in high school I participated in The Race for the Cure. I was running cross country and track and ran the race as part of my summer training. I thought it was a great organization as cancer runs in my family. Too bad they are making political decisions now.

So Newt hows that endorsement thingy from Todd Palin workin out for ya?

Newt you shouldn't have accepted it. You should have learned by now everything a Palin touches turns to shit. Remember Joe Miller, John McCain, Karen Handel, Christine O'Donnell, Sharron Angle, and Tim Tebow?

You already have enough baggage from your ex-wives, your ethics violations, your harassment of Bill Clinton over his blow jobs.

You still have a chance, now that The Donald endorsed Mittens. Basically it's one money whore supporting another. And that money whore is forever tied to the Birther movement. Makes Mittens look even more shitty.

Super Bowl

Patriots or Giants? I really don't care who wins but I think the Patriots are going to win it.

Here is the SarahPac report for July-Dec 2011

You can read it here

From the Anchorage Daily News

Sarah Palin's political action committee raised about $752,000 during the second half of 2011, according to financial disclosures filed Tuesday, less than half the nearly $1.7 million that SarahPAC raised during the first half of the year.

Palin, a former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee, announced in October that she would not seek her party's nomination for the presidency.

She has had words of praise for many of the candidates -- Rick Santorum, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich -- and said before the South Carolina primary that she would vote for Gingrich to keep the race going.

But the disclosures, filed with the Federal Election Commission, do not show any contributions to any of the 2012 GOP presidential contenders. Palin's contributions do include $5,000 to the Republican Party of Iowa, a contribution that came on the eve of the Ames Straw Poll in August when Palin visited the state, and a charitable contribution of $300 to Paws and Effect of Des Moines, Iowa.

SarahPAC spent $1.2 million during the second half and ended 2011 with about $1 million on hand.

Among the expenses: $50,450 for DVDs and shipping to donors; at least $2,022 for copies of the U.S. Constitution from the National Archives; nearly $60,000 for video work and photography; and $16,900 to a group listed as "Republican Presidential Travel," for charter air services. About $2,600 was for Todd Palin, Palin's husband, dated Aug. 29, for airfare, food, lodging and fuel.

Palin also listed $225 for a tour of Mount Vernon, one of the stops on her "One Nation" bus tour last year, and $932 for clambake catering in New Hampshire, her last stop on the trip's first leg. Bus repairs, dated Oct. 27, were listed at about $1,100.

For comparison's sake, SarahPAC raised $1.4 million during the second half of 2009. Both 2009 and 2011 were the lead-up to big election years.

Doesn't look too good for Sarah. But what can you expect when Sarah flubs up on basic American history, announces she will not run, and indirectly caused the near-assassination of a Congresswoman.

Car Insurance Rate Comparison

Looking for a quality insurance carrier at a price you can afford?  Comparing rates is easier than ever these days, thanks to the many tools now offered on the internet.   From checking individual companies’ records, to getting actual quotes to compare, the internet is a wonderful way to check and see what options are available and which coverage plans will cost you the least.

Individual Company Websites

The first place you should turn to find out what types of car insurance rates are available to you is to check with individual company websites. Begin with those you know best and then Google for smaller carriers in your area. Easy to use, many carriers now allow potential customers to type in their information and receive a basic quote without being hassled by any salespeople.   Others may require you to at least talk with a sales representative in order to get an actual price quote. Of course picking up the phone and talking with agents for specific companies of interest can also yield the same information – albeit it may take a bit longer to gather.  Contacting each carrier individually will require you to compare those policies (and rates) on your own and it will take more time; but the prices are generally more comprehensive than doing it through a larger search engine product.

Comparison Engines

Don’t have time to log into individual insurance carrier websites to get the information you are after?  Let a comparison engine do the work for you.  Most big carriers now offer this simple tool on their websites as do individual engine comparison sites.  All you have to do is type in some basic information regarding your vehicles like the overage you are after; your driving record and the region in which you live. Within seconds you will have a list of insurance carriers; the products they offer and the prices they charge.  You can streamline your search to include only major carriers or ask the engine to give you rate information form even the smallest carrier.  There is no limit to how many carriers you can compare at one time.

A wonderful way to see at a glance what type of policies different companies offer (and at what price), it is important to understand that not every policy offered through this type of quick search will be equal. There are variables offered by individual companies which could alter the final price of the policy that you choose.  Always take the time to be sure that the prices you are comparing truly are for the same quality product.

Deciding Which Policy Is Best

Of course, price will have a lot to do with which policy you ultimately choose for your car insurance needs. But be careful that you do not simply choose the cheapest insurance, despite what it offers. If you do you risk not having the coverage you need in the case of an accident.

When comparing car insurance rates be sure to always:

  • Consider the companies track record: does this company handle claims quickly and efficiently?  Are they service oriented and helpful?  Will they drop your coverage if you file a claim above a certain amount?  Be sure to check for blog entries regarding a company’s approval rating or check with the Better Business Bureau in your state for complaints.
  • Check what the policy covers.  Not every insurance policy is equal. Some carriers offer very basic plans void of some of the important coverage you may need like collision; medical; passenger coverage; and more.  Deductibles can also vary greatly, which will have a big impact on how much you pay for your insurance. Choosing a cheap policy over a well-rounded policy can lead to hassle and extended costs down the line should you need to make a claim.
  • Consider the overall cost. Sure, the basic plan may seem cheap enough, but if those added riders cost too much, your final bill could be more than the other higher-priced policy you overlooked.  Be sure that the final fees are what you expect before agreeing to nay policy.
  • Check for discounts.  When checking an auto insurance comparison chart, you may see that one company charges a bit more than another. Wait! That price may not be as firm as you think. Check each carrier for discount options.  You may be surprised at how low you can get that final amount. For instance, if company A charges $800 a year for coverage, but offers a 10% multi-driver discount and a 20% safe driver discount, their final price is only $560; compared to company B who charges $680 for coverage, but no comparable discounts.

Looking for the best deal using a car insurance rates comparison chart is a great way to figure out your scar insurance options. But be careful to look at all of the variables before making your final decision and choosing a policy you may later regret.
