Upon my return from an outstanding and productive trip to India and Israel, I’ve been inundated with requests to respond to petty comments made in the media the past few days, including one little fella’s comment which decent people would find degrading. (I won’t bother responding to it though, because it was made by he who reminds me of an annoying little mosquito found zipped up in your tent; he can’t do any harm, but buzzes around annoyingly until it’s time to give him the proverbial slap.)
I’ve given this a lot of thought, and I’d like to share my thoughts on the never-ending issue of media bias.
When it comes to responding to the media, the standard warning is: Don’t pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel because calling out the media and holding them accountable is a risky endeavor. Too often the first instinct is to ignore blatant media bias, crudeness, and outright lies, and just hope the media instigator will grow up and provide fairer coverage if you bite your tongue and not challenge the false reporting of an openly hostile press. But I’ve never bought into that. That’s waving the white flag. I just can’t do it because I have too much respect for the importance of a free press as a cornerstone of our democracy, and I have great respect for the men and women in uniform who sacrifice so much to defend that First Amendment right. Media, with freedom comes responsibility.
Friends, too often conservatives or Republicans in general come across as having the fighting instinct of sheep. I don’t. I was raised to believe that you don’t retreat when you’re on solid ground; so even though it often seems like I’m armed with just a few stones and a sling against a media giant, I’ll use those small resources to do what I can to set the record straight. The truth is always worth fighting for. Doing so isn’t whining or “playing the victim card”; it’s defending the truth in fairness to those who seek accurate information. I’ll keep attempting to correct misinformation and falsehoods about myself and my record, and I will certainly never shy from defending others who are unfairly attacked. This is in the name of justice.
But two decades in politics have taught me that when it comes to picking battles, often it’s best to ignore the truly petty, ugly personal media shots because engaging in a counter argument with disreputable, intolerant people doesn’t vindicate me; it merely gives those people the attention they seek. It wastes my time and it distracts from what we should focus on.
We must always remember the big picture. The media has always been biased. Conservatives – and especially conservative women – have always been held to a different standard and attacked. This is nothing new. Lincoln was mocked and ridiculed. Reagan was called an amiable dunce, a dangerous warmonger, a rightwing fanatic, and the insult list goes on and on. (But somehow Reagan still managed to win two major electoral landslides, and this was in the days before the internet and talk radio when all he had were three biased network news channels spinning reports on him. If he could do so much with so little and still be such an optimistic and positive leader, then surely we can succeed with the new media tools at our disposal.)
Let’s just acknowledge that commonsense conservatives must be stronger and work that much harder because of the obvious bias. And let’s be encouraged with a sense of poetic justice by knowing that the “mainstream” media isn’t mainstream anymore. That’s why I call it “lamestream,” and the LSM is becoming quite irrelevant, as it is no longer the sole gatekeeper of information.
Let’s keep pivoting around media bias, and not get distracted with the vulgar personal shots. Even with limited time we can try to call out lies and set the record straight, but always keep the ball moving. No one ever won a game only playing defense.
I’ll keep correcting false reporting, and I’ll defend others to the hilt; but I won’t spend any more precious, limited time responding to personal, vulgar, sexist venom spewed my way.
Today, our country is faced with seemingly overwhelming challenges. We have an unsustainable and immoral $14 trillion debt problem which, combined with a self-inflicted energy crisis, could bring America to her knees. The President of the United States is manipulating an energy supply by refusing to develop our U.S. energy resources. Shouldn’t that be the media’s focus today? Wouldn’t you like more information on the deficit that for last month alone was the highest in our history at $223 billion? That single month’s deficit was more than the entire deficit for the year 2007! We still have a 16% real unemployment rate. We had 2.9 million home foreclosures last year alone, with this year predicted to be even worse. Americans who are struggling to make ends meet are now hit by rising food and energy prices – exacerbated by the Fed’s decision to drop that $600 billion money bomb known as QE2 on us. Gas has already hit $4 per gallon in some areas. And let’s not forget that our men and women in uniform are deployed far from home today. From Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, to who-knows-where tomorrow under a clouded, confused Obama Doctrine, our armed forces are in harm’s way, defending our interests and protecting our freedoms.
Now these are the real concerns to Americans. These are times when real leadership is needed. We must never be distracted from these real concerns.
Petty comments from the small-minded are used to distract. Stay focused, America. Don’t wave any white flag. Simply put, let’s spend our precious time on causes that are worthy.

The Palins pal around with murderers
A U.S. Army soldier who's been charged with murdering three Afghan civilians appears to have crossed paths with the family of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. On Friday, Spc. Jeremy Morlock, 22, of Wasilla, Alaska, was arrested on charges of premeditated murder related to the deaths of three Afghans near Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he served with the Army's 5th Stryker Brigade.
Morlock is the first of 10 soldiers under investigation for the murders to be charged. The inquiry began after a soldier at Forward Operating Base Ramrod, near Kandahar, went to his superiors with allegations of illegal drug use in his unit last month. The whistleblower was severely beaten by his colleagues; while recovering in a hospital, he came forward with the murder allegations.
Wasilla, as Palin frequently pointed out during the 2008 election campaign, is a very small community, so it's not surprising that the Palin family would have developed relationships, however incidental, with one of its residents. According to a 2009 People magazine profile of Bristol Palin, Jeremy Morlock's sister April is a friend of Bristol's and attended a "pizza and bingo party" at the Palin residence. And in 2005, Jeremy
Morlock played in a high school hockey league with Palin's son Track, who himself served in the Army in Iraq. The two apparently attended different high schools.
A representative for Palin would not state on the record whether or not the Palin camp would comment on any past contact with Morlock. April Morlock did not immediately respond to an email.
During Bristol's time in LA for DWTS, April Morlock Jeremy's sister came to visit her.
In December of 2010 Jeremy became a father. Maybe thats why Bristol looked so pregnant. She was carrying Jeremy's baby.
Also the house that Willow trashed in December 2009 was owned by the Morlocks.

Dancing with the Stars season 11 premiers today-Update
I used to be a big fan of the show until the Palins tainted it. What were the producers thinking? Its a shame that the Palins have to taint everything they touch. Brandy did deserve to make the finals and Bristol knows that in her rotting heart. Anyway I am no longer watching the show, even if Ralph Macchio is on there. He was my girlhood crush.

Guess she wanted to see if she could clean out Neiman Marcus.
While in Israel, Sarah planned to go to Bethlehem (birthplace of Jesus) but got chickenshit at the checkpoint and backed out. She also wore a Star of David Necklace which is blasphemy because you are not supposed to wear symbols of other faiths you do not belong to. And she bitches about Obama too.
Off topic but Piper's birthday was March 19. Sarah and Todd were in India at this time. What parents would take off halfway across the world on the eve of their child's birthday? Sarah and Todd Palin suck as parents.

Five Fairbanks-area residents involved in a loose-knit militia group have been arrested in connection with a plot to kidnap or kill Alaska state troopers and a local judge, federal and state authorities said on Friday.
The group includes Francis "Schaeffer" Cox, the 26-year-old leader of the so-called "citizen sovereignty" movement, which considers individuals to be sovereign nations not subject to any state or federal laws.
Cox and his associates had developed an extensive plan to launch their attacks, the troopers said in a statement.

I am comparing these two pictures of them. Both graduated from Wasilla High School, Bristol 2009, Sadie 2010 but their gowns are different colors. Did Wasilla change graduation gowns? I am asking because there are no pics of Bristol at graduation, just the one of her in People Magazine where she is holding Tripp. The one of Sadie here was taken at graduation.

SUA is promoting this effort for people to express their outrage. To vent in a manner that cannot be overlooked by anyone! This first wave of action is something the people can really grasp, and in no way shape or form does it condone any ill-action, rather, its about civility, and its akin to a sit-in. You can take it for anything you wish, but it is in our educational directive and charter that SUA wants America to observe, learn, and understand that the time is now for action.
Brief Description – Sarah Palin called the Obama Administration’s actions as the “Road to Ruin”! Like most of the USA now, we at Stand Up America think it is a great way to express yourself and learn what is really happening to our country, so what can we do? Well, it seems the normal methods do not work because of entrenched political machinery, moneyed interests, power seeking for power’s sake, and a media that is just plan in the tank.
In the past, petitions were signed, marches on Washington and elsewhere were held, Tea Parties were created, letters were written, calls were made, new representatives were elected, yet, the road to ruin is still there, and the Obama Administration has the pedal to the floor, the speedometer is pegged, and there are no brakes. All our efforts have for the most part FAILED!
So how do we make our voices known? How do we finally succeed? How do we send a clear message that cannot be twisted by the media, misinterpreted by politicians, or co-opted by Obama apologists? Well, we have come up with one interesting new way. Are you game? It won’t cost you any money short of a gallon of gas. It won’t take much of your time, only about an hour. It won’t mean travel to distant cities. It won’t mean crowds to wade through, and it won’t interfere with your life too much.
What it will be is FUN, and a great way to vent your frustration, without being labeled, or maligned!
Here is what is planned:
• Sunday, March 13th, 2011 – 4 PM Eastern, 3 PM Central, 2 PM Mountain, and 1 PM Pacific time;
• We want everyone to get into their cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, Semis, box trucks, and any other vehicle, and drive to your nearest highway or main route;
• Don’t go far, just enough to get in a safe position to pull over to the shoulder, and park, engine running, headlights and flashers on;
• Why? To take a cell call, or make one or several. After all, law enforcement recommends that you pull over to the side to take your call or text.
• Hook up a boat trailer, a snow mobile hauler, or anything to make the line look miles and miles long, bring your tractor-trailer;
• Set up a long motorcycle run to a STOP;
• Get your car club involved to show off those great hot rods and collectibles;
• Imagine others driving by wondering “what the heck”? Wave to everyone;
• Get ten friends to do the same; or go to an over pass and hang temporary signs saying – “Time to stop!” Just imagine the imagery! But be SAFE!
• Once pulled over to the side, place calls or texts to your friends, take pictures, send tweets, flood Facebook with messages and photos, along with several million others on other highways across the land.
• Stay one hour if you can, get your friends to do the same, line up all your vehicles in a safe manner as far off the side as you can, and hit your horns.
• One hour gives the media a chance to react, a chance to get footage. Imagine the traffic reports!
• Hang a sign inside your back window, or use temporary soap to write a message safely on the window;
• Be a part of millions of people saying: “Stop the madness, we are pulling over and just stopping!”
Imagine the image, when every news outlet in the USA must take notice.
Helicopters recording the event, YouTube filling with videos from every spot in America, with one message: “Just Stop”! Imagine seeing 300 cars pulled over for miles in California, in Texas, in New Jersey…etc.
Imagine the evening news and cable stations saying, “What the heck is going on?”
Do the math. If a car is 17 feet long, and 10 feet is maintained between each vehicle, it takes only 195 cars to stretch one mile. Imagine 500 tractor trailers pulling over for one hour! That’s over seven miles!
Be SAFE though!
• Be safe, peaceful, patient, kind, considerate, cautious, and alert;
• Be respectful, and patriotic to a fault;
• Stay away from congested areas, you know where they are, do some research;
• Leave plenty of room so you can pull back out safely, in turn, one-at-a-time;
• Help each other when stopping or starting back out into traffic lanes;
• Be courteous to your fellow “Stoppers”;
• Do not do anything illegal, and do not get out and walk, Observe and obey all laws;
• Don’t cause any interference with the flow of traffic;
• Do not disobey any lawful order;
• Be the PATRIOTIC icon of virtue that you are!
• BE SAFE!!!
