Happy Belated Birthday Vice President Biden!

Uncle Joe's birthday was yesterday.

Happy Birthday Joe, it's a fucking deal!

Yes I will call out Hunter Biden for his drug use

As you are all aware Hunter Biden son of VP Joe Biden was kicked out of the Navy for testing positive for cocaine.

Yes bad on him.  I am disappointed with his behavior and I will not make excuses for him as he is 44 years old and is a married father of three (yes he is married to the mother of his three children).  At 44 he should know better by now.

I will give him credit as Hunter is taking responsibility for his actions though.  See quote below:

It was the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy's decision. With the love and support of my family, I'm moving forward,"

I am sure he will seek treatment for his drug problems.  Hunter also has a much more supportive and responsible family.

Which now brings me to the Palins.  No Palin has apologized for their behavior over the drunken brawl.  In fact Sarah only threatened to send the kids to the "drunk tank"

Livid Alaskan trout-mouth bombs brood in a sea of rage!
You’re all headed to the drunk tank!” That’s what an enraged Sarah Palin is telling her three eldest kids – Track, 25, Bristol, 24, and Willow, 20 – after a police report reveals they were boozed up at a party that turned into a headline-making brawl.

Cops in Alaska released the report Oct. 9 after prosecutors said no charges would be filed related to the Sept. 6 incident. The former Alaska governor was at the party with her hubby Todd and their brood when the fight broke out.

“Sarah is livid that her kids have been called ‘belligerent and intoxicated,’” a friend said.

“It’s a real embarrassment. In a fury, she told them, ‘You’re all headed to the drunk tank!’ She’s not sending them off to rehab, but it’s a clear warning they better clean up their acts.”

According to the report, obtained by The National ENQUIRER, at least two dust-ups broke out during the incident – one involving Track and Todd, and another involving Bristol. One officer wrote that Track “was angry, heavily intoxicated and acted belligerent.”

Track jumped into the scrum when four people attacked his dad. The report also noted Bristol “appeared heavily intoxicated and upset,” and Willow – who is a year under Alaska’s legal drinking age – “was drunk.”

The source added: “Todd and Track appeared to get their butts kicked, and Bristol was said to be ‘slut-shamed’ during the fiasco and dragged around on the ground by her legs. Sarah is sick over the whole thing.”

As you can see Sarah is only more concerned about the embarrassment than her kids health.

Speaking of her kids since Track was discharged for other than honorable, was it for drug use?  He was discharged in 2009 or 2010 but was supposed to be in the Army until 2015.  Hunter was kicked out for drugs, so Track probably was too.

The next time some righwinger bitches about Vice President Biden's foul language, remind them of this

From Washington Post

A brief argument between Vice President Cheney and a senior Democratic senator led Cheney to utter a big-time obscenity on the Senate floor this week.

On Tuesday, Cheney, serving in his role as president of the Senate, appeared in the chamber for a photo session. A chance meeting with Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (Vt.), the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, became an argument about Cheney's ties to Halliburton Co., an international energy services corporation, and President Bush's judicial nominees. The exchange ended when Cheney offered some crass advice.

"Fuck yourself," said the man who is a heartbeat from the presidency.

And don't forget this:

Final thoughts on the 2012 Election and campaign

Voters in Minnesota District 6 may be starting to wake up a bit.  Michele Bachmann was re-elected by the skin of her teeth.  Washington County which is in District 6 even voted for Obama and Anoka County voted for Romney 50%-48%

Mitt Romney is so arrogant he never even wrote up a concession speech.   He thought he was appointed by God to be president.  Newsflash Mitty...God chose Barack Obama the alleged Kenyan Muslim instead.

I would have loved to have be a fly on the wall when Mitt got back to one of his mansions today.

Sarah Palin was a non-factor in this election.  Most of the people she endorsed with the exception of Debbie Fischer lost.

Speaking of Sarah Palin, the Tea Party is officially dead.

The Rape Team is officially dead as well.  Aikin, Mourdock,West, Rivard, and King all got their asses handed to them.  Paul Ryan still kept his house seat but at least he won't be in the White House.

Best part of the whole campaign:

Even in Minnesota the Democrats got the majority back in the legislature.  The voters remembered the debacle of 2011.  Unfortunately my state senator was re-elected.  He is backed by his daddy's big business buddies.  Grrr.

Marriage amendments went pretty well to.  Here in Minnesota the amendment to define marriage as one man one woman failed.  Even better was the voter ID amendment which failed.  While requiring an ID to vote looks good on paper, many people like the elderly don't have a license.  The state would pay for ID cards but to get one you would need your birth certificate which costs money.

2016 Election is four years away but it's never too early to talk about it.  Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden have mentioned as possible contenders, but I do not see that happening.  I think Hillary is done after 2013.  Not many people serve as Secretary of State for more than one term, the exception being Cordell Hull who was FDR's SOS from 1933-1944.  The job is stressful and requires a lot of traveling.  While I love Joe to death, I'm not sure if I could support him.  Joe will be 73 years old by January 20, 2017 and I remember making an issue of John McCain being 72 back in 2008.  I think of Ronald Reagan and all the goofy stuff he did while in office.  He was in his 70's all of his presidency.  Even his son has admitted that Reagan had Alzheimers while in office.

I like a Brian Schweitzer-Martin O'Malley ticket.  Brian would appeal to Blue Dog Democrats and independent conservatives as he is a rancher and farmer from Montana and opposes gun control.  He is also the father of a special needs son and favors single payer health care.  O'Malley being from Maryland would appeal to the Eastern Liberal contingent.  He favors same-sex marriage even though he is Catholic.  Schweitzer/O'Malley or O'Malley/Schweitzer would be good, but I may change my mind a few years from now, so we'll see what happens.

Other possible contenders:

Elizabeth Warren.  I don't see her being a contender in 2016.  Not much experience and she would only be in her first term as a senator.

Amy Klobuchar.  Amy has done a terrific job representing Minnesota as a Senator.  But she is not well known outside of the state and most of her bills have been consumer-related and nothing meaty like taxes and foreign policy.  She has proven that she can reach across the aisle, which would help her.  There was talk about her being a possible Supreme Court judge back in 2009.

Andrew Cuomo.  Andrew has executive experience being governor like Schweitzer and O'Malley.  He also has name recognition.  How he handles the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy will be a big test for him.

As for the GOP, they are a mess.  A hot, huge, mess.  If there is a standard bearer now it would have to be Chris Christie.  Romney has burned his bridges left and right and Ryan will never get the stench of Romney off of him.  I can see Christie being the Republican nominee 4 years from now and Rick Santorum his running mate.

Fact Checking last nights Vice Presidential Debate-Update

From Salon

10:20 — When are we getting out of Afghanistan? Biden emphatically states that the U.S. will be out of Afghanistan by 2014. “We are leaving. We are leaving in 2014. Period.” Well, sort of. While the vast majority of the troops will be gone, the U.S., NATO, and Afghanistan agreed to leave and “enduring presence” of perhaps 10,000 troops to help train Afghans past 2014. The troops will not play combat roles and the Afghan government will assume full security of the country, but Biden exaggerated a bit.

10:15 — Taxpayer funding for abortion: Ryan says Democrats support taxpayer funding for abortion, pointing to Obamacare. That’s completely false. The bill never contained taxpayer funding for abortion, but it was nonetheless held up for months to appease pro-life Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak and the bloc that he lead.

10:10 — Troops in Libya: Ryan said “nobody is considering sending troops to Syria.” In August,  Gov. Romney told CBS News that he would send U.S. troops to Syria if necessary to prevent the spread of chemical weapons. In his interview with CBS, Romney said, “I think we have to also be ready to take whatever action is necessary to ensure that we do not have any kind of weapon of mass destruction falling into the hands of terrorists and whether that requires troops, or whether that requires other actions by our friends and allies.”

10:05 — Biden forgets he voted for Iraq war: Biden hits Ryan on spending by saying the congressman voted  ”to put two wars on a credit card.” But Biden also vote to authorize the war in Iraq, and voted to give Bush “all necessary and appropriate force” to respond to the terror attacks, which led to war in Afghanistan.

10:00 — Small Navy? Paul Ryan says Obama would reduce the Navy to its smallest size since World War I. Politifact gave that claim a Pants on Fire and called it ridiculous.

9:55 — Sequester two-step: Ryan attacks Biden for automatic defense cuts that will go through if Congress does not act. Those cuts come from the “sequester,” the automatic trigger mechanism created by the congressional deal to raise the debt ceiling. You know who voted for that plan? Paul Ryan.

9:50 — Tax plan adds up? Asked by the moderator if he can “guarantee” that Mitt Romney’s tax plan adds up, Ryan says, “Six studies have verified this plan adds up.” Among the “studies” included in that figure are two Op-Eds and white papers written by the campaign or economists connected to the campaign. The most comprehensive and well-respected study done so far from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center finds that the numbers do not add up. Not by a long shot.

9:45 — Social Security and Medicare are not going broke: “Social Security and Medicare are going bankrupt. These are indisputable facts,” Ryan says. Actually both are disputable and neither are facts. People have been saying Social Security is going to go bankrupt for decades, it hasn’t yet, and it’s not going to. It’s currently projected to be fine for at least 40 years. Medicare is in more peril, but it is still nowhere close to anywhere near going bankrupt anytime soon. And Obamacare actually extended the life of the Medicare trust fund.

9:40 — Ryan’s healthcare plan is bipartisan? Ryan claimed that his Medicare proposal was co-sponsored by a Democrat. He was referring to Sen. Rod Wyden of Oregon, who did create a plan to change Medicare, but once Republicans adapted it, he distanced himself from the bill this summer. In response to Romney’s continued claims on the campaign trail that the bill was bipartisan, Wyden told the Oregonian in August, “Bipartisanship requires that you not make up the facts. I did not ‘co-lead a piece of legislation.’”

9:35 — What about in your own district? Ryan attacked Biden because the unemployment rate has gone up in his hometown of Scranton, Pa., under Obama and Biden. But the unemployment rate has gone up in Paul Ryan’s home district as well during his tenure in Congress. It was 3.8 percent when Ryan first took office in 1999 and was at 9.2 percent this August.

9: 30 — Paul Ryan requested stimulus money: Joe Biden calls out Ryan for sending two letters requesting stimulus funds for his district, despite attacking the program. “We do that. We advocate for constituents’ interests,” Ryan said in response. That’s a new answer for Ryan, who previously blamed his staff. It’s actually his third answer. First, he said, “I never asked for stimulus.” Then, after being caught, he blamed his staff for allegedly mishandling the economy. “After having these letters called to my attention I checked into them, and they were treated as constituent service requests in the same way matters involving Social Security or Veterans Affairs are handled. This is why I didn’t recall the letters earlier. But they should have been handled differently,” he said in a statement. So his defending of the requests tonight is a bit of a departure. It’s also worth noting that Ryan supported the 2002 stimulus package proposed by George W. Bush.

9:25 — Cars: “Mitt Romney is a car guy,” Ryan says earnestly. Mitt Romney also wrote an Op-Ed for the New York Times titled “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt.”

9:20 — How long has Biden known Bibi? Biden claimed he’s known Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for “39 years.” But as the Daily Beast’s Peter Beinart notes, that’s almost certainly impossible, as Netanyahu was an undergrad at MIT at the time. More likely, they met about 20 years ago.

9:15 — Biden flubs on Libya: “We weren’t told they wanted more security… We did not know they wanted more security there,” Biden said when Ryan challenged him on the attack. As the Washington Post pointed out that, that claim is ”contradicted by State Department officials just the day before, in testimony before a congressional panel and in unclassified cables released by a congressional committee.”

9:10 — Marines: Paul Ryan, noting that there’s a Marine detachment at the U.S. Embassy in Paris asks, “Shouldn’t we have a Marine detachment?” in Libya. The infatuation with the Marines belies a deep misunderstanding of the role the service members play in foreign embassies. The Corps actually protects information, not personnel. And with only a little over 1,000 Marines serving as guards around the world, there are very few in any diplomatic post.

9:05 — Diplomatic security: The debate opened up with a discussion of the attacks on U.S. diplomatic posts in Libya, with Paul Ryan attacking Biden for the Obama administration supposedly not doing enough to protect diplomats. But  Ryan’s budget plan would cut diplomatic security and House Republicans have already tried to do so. “For fiscal 2013, the GOP-controlled House proposed spending $1.934 billion for the State Department’s Worldwide Security Protection program — well below the $2.15 billion requested by the Obama administration,” the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank reported. In 2009, Ryan was one of 156 Republicans members to voted for an amendment to “reduce funding for Diplomatic and Consular Programs by $1.2 billion,” as the official record states. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the Utah Republican who has been leading the charge on Libya in Congress, admitted on CNN this week that he “absolutely” voted to cut the diplomatic security budget.

I apologize for not getting this up until now.  I planned to edit last night but I was too tired when I got home from work last night.

VP Biden may have been born in Scranton, but he has lived in Delaware since he was ten.

It's Joe vs Lyin Ryan tonight

Tonight is the Vice-Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.  Joe kicked Sarah's ass four years ago and should do well tonight against Pinocchio.  But since Pinocchio didn't ask Sarah Palin for any advice he has half a chance.

From USA Today (Oct 2, 2012)

Paul Ryan says he hasn't asked Sarah Palin for advice on his upcoming debate against Vice President Biden.
On the eve of the first debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney, the GOP vice presidential nominee told Bloomberg TV that he hasn't thought much about what he would do differently from Palin.

"What I plan on doing is offering our alternatives, showing what we believe, how we're going to do things differently so the country has a very clear choice to make," Ryan said in the interview.

The running mates will face off on Oct. 11 at Centre College in Danville, Ky. Tomorrow, Obama and Romney will meet at the University of Denver, in the first of their three debates.

Palin's debate performance four years ago was well-received and helped boost her image at a time when many voters across the country still did not know much about the Alaska governor. In a recent statement to The Weekly Standard, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee urged Romney and Ryan to "go rogue" and "break through the filter of the liberal media to communicate their message of reform."

Pinocchio has already distanced himself from her, which proves she is an embarrassment

The difference between Democrats and Republicans

Democrats are inspiring:

Republicans are senile octogenrians:

Democrat Ex-Governors are articulate and don't quit halfway through their first term:

Republican Ex-Governors whine and quit halfway through their first term:

Democrat VP Nominees have no problem with fact-checking

Republican VP Nominees lie through their teeth:

Democrat First Ladies are awesome!

Republican First Lady wanabees are bitches:

Democrat Presidential Nominees release their tax returns and look out for the 99%!

Republican Nominees for President hide their money and only look out for the 1%:

Former Democrat Presidents are also damn awesome!

Former Republican Presidents are nowhere to be found

Happy Valentine's Day to the following couples

Wishing each of you a Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to these couples:

Here is a couple that will probably celebrate Valentine's by throwing cans at each other:

Over the past two years we have heard rumors of Sarah and Todd divorcing. As far as we know they have not. Nothing is on record of them doing so.

At Track's wedding they were not wearing wedding rings:

But at the recent CPAC convention it looked like Sarah had a band of gold on her finger:

So are Sarah and Todd back together if they split? Did Sarah marry someone else? Or did Sarah wear that ring to prove to the world she is a happily married woman?

Speaking of that pic, Willow looks like she has put on some weight. Is she preggers. And if so who's the daddy?

Joe Biden interview with Rachel Maddow Part 1 and 2

If McCain/Palin won this interview would never have happened, and the troops would still be stuck in Iraq.
