Hoohah! Talking Points Memo gets their hands on the Palin brawl photos

From TPM

'That Was Sarah Palin'
In one of the recordings, a witness could be heard talking to an officer about the fights that night. At one point the man paused, and wanted to make sure the officer knew the severity of the situation.
"The lady that came up with the glasses," the man said. "That was Sarah Palin."
The cop let out an audible sigh, and said, "Okay."
"I know. Nice evening," the man said.
"Yeah," the officer said. "Sounds like it."

'Such A God Thing'
Another of the audio recordings began with the sounds of shouting and general chaos. Amid it all, Sarah Palin could be heard pretty clearly talking about a necklace that belonged to her son, Track Palin, which they thought had been lost forever during the altercations.
"Did you find your necklace?" Sarah Palin said. "Track, that is such a God thing. See?"
"Track, that went to Iraq and Afghanistan," Palin continued. "Let me see it. I can't believe you found it. Let me put it in my pocket."
As yelling and chatter continued all around, Palin kept focused on one thing.
"He found his necklace," Palin said. "He found his St. George."

'Our Side'
Yet another audio recording began with yelling, cursing and the sound of a child crying. Sarah Palin's voice could be heard briefly urging her son, Track Palin, to cooperate.
Quickly another woman's voice could be heard.
"Stop," the woman said. "Let's get them on our side. Okay?"

'Basically A Gay Guy, But He's Not'
Soon after in the same audio, an officer could be heard escorting Track Palin to a quieter area so that they could talk. From the sound of it, his father, Todd Palin, was by his side.
Track began to explain to the officer how his father's 50th birthday celebration that night turned into a melee.
"Alright this is my old man," Track said. "It's his birthday, okay. So we're at this party in Wasilla. Dude, surprise him with a new truck, new trailer, new wrap on the trailer. Everything was fucking kosher."
As he described what happened, Todd Palin interjected periodically. Both Track and Todd agreed that the fighting started when "a father-son team" punched their friend, "Steve."
"He's like a little pussy you know what I'm saying?" Track said, referring to Steve. "Like he's not gonna fight nobody. … Most innocent, basically a gay guy, but he's not."

'P-A-L-I-M-O'
At one point in the audio, an officer asked Track Palin for his name. Track began to comply, spelling it out in the phonetic alphabet often used by members of law enforcement and the military.
"Track," he said. "T-R-Tango, Romeo, Alfa, Charlie, Kilo."
But when it came to spelling his last name, Track became a little more dodgy.
"Papa, Alfa, Lima, India, Mike, Oscar," Track Palin said, spelling P-A-L-I-M-O. "You know what that means? Like I mean --"
"Palimo?" the officer asked.

"What?" Track said. "No. See he didn't know what --"
That's when his father interrupted.
"This is not a time to be joking," Todd Palin said. "It's Palin."
"I'm not trying to be a dick, man," Track said later. "I'm sorry. I just seen a lotta' shows on cops."

'They're All White'
At another point in the audio, an officer asked Track Palin to describe the people who had "attacked" him.
"They're all like little bitches," Track said.
"You gotta help me out, man," the officer said. "White, black, Native?"
"They're all white," Track responded before describing their body types. "If it was one-on-one, like I would beat the shit outta them. You know what I'm saying? Sorry."
"No, I understand," the cop reassured him.

'Took Me By My Legs And Dragged Me Across The Lawn'
In one of the audio recordings, Bristol Palin spoke to an officer, saying that she had been attacked by Korey Klingenmeyer, the owner of the house where the party took place.
"Can we talk in here because I have my 5-year-old in here asleep?" Bristol said, before beginning to tell her version of what happened.
"I don't know who Korey is," she said. "Korey pushed me on the ground and took me by my legs and dragged me across the lawn calling me a 'cunt' and calling me a 'slut.' I don't know Korey. I don't know Korey."
The police officer then took photos of Bristol's injuries.
"I don't want my face in a picture right now," she said. "There's nothing on my face except for beer and makeup."

I am now going to post each picture with my thoughts and opinions on them:

Pretty sure these are Bristol's sunglasses and Sarah is in the picture

Old Hoo-Hah is on the left, look at the shoes, Track is barefoot

Gotta be Todd

I am going out on a limb and say this is Willow, the dumpy legs don't look like Bristol

Willow says this is Korey Klingenmeyer.  From what I have heard Klingenmeyer is a big boy and Willow is a liar.
Todd

You can listen to the audio at Radar Online  The audio is pretty confusing as a lot of people are talking.

Bristol is a big crybaby.  And yes she is a cunt and a slut.

Sarah Palin likes two things...brawling and hoo-haahing!

The above picture will be forever synonymous with the infamous 2014 Palin family brawkl.

I read and re-read the police report a couple of times.  I have had a busy several days and haven't had time to write out a response but now I am and my thoughts are the following:

What happened to the two married women Track and his friend "Steve" were harassing?

No one in the report corroborated that Bristol was called a cunt.  Liar liar pants on fire Bristol!  Also Bristol was too drunk to even remember hitting Korey.

About 15 people confirmed that Bristol hit Korey Klingemeyer several times with her fists.  Korey was a real gentleman and showed a lot of restraint.

A total of three fights that night...Bristol and Korey, Track and Todd, and Track, Willow, and Korey.  Course that is gonna happen when you are drunk.

It's pretty bad when you are so drunk you think you are in Eagle River (a small town) and not the booming metropolis of Anchorage.  Looking at you Trackie.

Pretty disappointing the mainstream media made the Palins look like they were the victims.  Bullshit, they showed up at that party with every intention of starting shit.  BTW they were not even invited.

Nice to see Eric Thompson has a new job.

I noticed a lot of things missing.  Sarah was a witness but her statement was not in the report.  Neither was Todd's.  Tripp was at the party too and he wasn't in the report.  The report seemed disjointed.

Speaking of Tripp I hope the custody judge got a real copy of the police report which details more of Sarah screaming "don't you know who I am".  She also tried to hide Track in the limo.  Bristol also made a beeline for the limo too.  Seems her purse was in there.  What were you hiding in the purse Butthole?

Who was taking care of Trig that night?

Not long after the report came out Sarah posted this

UPDATE: Hey, knock it off. I posted a cool, inspiring video to brighten your day and to honor our vets. I didn't make the video nor did I title it. This honored vet is introduced as ARMY; that's why I captioned it "Hoohah!" Amazing how something fun and positive can be turned negative by either folks looking for something to be hatin' on or those just not paying attention. Now, don't make me pull a mama's chewing out on you! Enjoy the video! Hoohah!

Sounds a little bitchy to me.  By the Sarah Skanky Hoohah is a derogatory name for a vagina.

The whole world is in agreement with the other partygoers "FUCK THE PALINS!"

The Police Report from the Palin brawl has been released!

Here is the report:  Thank you Malia Litman!

From the Immoral Minority

In the first part Bristol is claiming that Willow was pushed by an older lady and when she went to confront he woman that the homeowner, Korey, pushed her down without provocation.

There was also a young man in a truck, named Steven Lebeida, who was bleeding, but he refused to tell the police what happened to him and he was allowed to leave.

Update: They also interviewed Matthew McKenna who claims that the fight involved other NOT the Palins and that he had Todd went to investigate. It was then that a friend identified as "Steve" was supposedly knocked down and that Todd was jumped by four guys as he tried to help.

It was at this time that McKenna claims that Track jumped in. (This is totally the opposite of what everybody else described.)

However McKenna also claims that Bristol was "out of control" and that he saw her hit Corey multiple times, but that she was dragged away by some unidentified women, and that THAT was when she was knocked to the ground.

Update 2: Here is TMZ's report

Update 3: The police also report that when they first arrived that they saw a shirtless Track Palin being led to the limousine ("Appearing intent on keeping him away from me.") After the cop approached the limo Sarah told Track to cooperate at which time the cop noticed that he was "Heavily intoxicated." (Apparently he was so drunk that he thought they were in Eagle River and did not realize that they were in Anchorage.)

So apparently despite reports the police claim there was no video taken.

The report goes on to include testimony from a number of witnesses, most of which contradicts the Palin version.

Korey's testimony is especially damning as he claims that not only did Bristol attack him, but that Track did as well.

Matthew McKenna  backed up Korey's version of the Bristol confrontation, including the part where she came up the driveway saying she was going to "knock that bitch out."

Apparently while the policed were interviewing Matthew and Korey, Todd and Track came up and try to start some shit and had to be restrained and escorted away.

So WHY were they not arrested?

Update 6: Further down in the report the officer says that both Willow and Bristol were visibly drunk. Interesting because isn't Willow only 20 years old?

And by the way TMZ is dead wrong that Sarah was not in the area, as she and Todd were observed in a verbal confrontation with other guests when the police arrived.

Update 7: Okay the over under of all of this is that the Palin's version does not seem to match the version of the other party goers, except Mathew McKenna who however takes the homeowners side in the Bristol fracas.

So if the report is out it sounds like the Palins are NOT going to face any charges, either by those they assaulted or by the city.

Yeah, well you know what? The damage has already been done.

Update 8: Here is the report by the Alaska Dispatch and TPM.

Yes why wasn't Willow arrested for underage drinking?

I will peruse through the report later and state my thoughts.   I have a lot to do tonight that has more priority.

A lot of fallout from the Palin brawl

Eric Thompson who was a witness to to the brawl was fired for going to GMA.

A man who said he witnessed an epic fistfight last weekend at an Anchorage, Alaska party that allegedly included Sarah Palin's family was reportedly fired from his job after telling ABC's "Good Morning America" what he saw.

Eric Thompson, who said he was one of some 70 guests at the rowdy party, told ABC that he saw Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol land several punches on a man who once dated her sister Willow.
"Bristol just reached back and started clocking him, she hit him -- reached way back here and caught him right on the chin, I counted at least six times."
Anchorage police confirmed to TPM that members of the Palin family were indeed present at the party. A spokeswoman did not say whether they got involved in the fight, as the case was still open.

"I heard Sarah Palin scream out, 'You know who we are, don't you?'" Thompson told ABC. "It was just like we were on a Jerry Springer episode."

"The police seemed to show up right after they left, asking people questions and wanting to know what's going on," he added.

Apparently Eric has retained a lawyer.  Good luck Eric and Thank YOU for telling the truth.

Eric has also set up a GOFundMe account.  You can make a donation here.

Eric's wife Roberta has also made a statement

The melees at that night's party have led to an ongoing police investigation and reports that Sarah Palin's husband and son were injured while tussling with other party guests before the family was kicked out of the house.

"It was just so shocking," Roberta Thompson told TPM.

She mostly confirmed what her husband told multiple news outlets last week, saying that the two of them were right next to each other during the incident. But she provided her own take on how the events unfolded, including a portion that she said involved the eldest Palin daughter, Bristol Palin, and the owner of the house, Korey Klingenmeyer.

"What I saw was two girls run past and run towards Korey," Roberta Thompson said. "And then I just saw Bristol Palin start punching him in the face."

"It was quite, quite violent," she added.

She said Klingenmeyer was clearly upset about what was happening but maintained his composure.
"She kept punching him and then he just said, you know, 'You need to go,'" Thompson said.

Klingenmeyer escorted the Palins around the corner from there, Thompson said, and she did not see what happened after that. Other news reports of the incident have said another physical altercation involving members of the Palin family broke out after that. One report cited an anonymous source who said Sarah Palin was "nearly crawling on top of people" and shouting profanities during the later altercation.
Roberta Thompson didn't see Sarah Palin directly involved in any of the fights but she did notice the former Alaska governor's red, white and blue sneakers.

"I try not to pay too much attention because she doesn't mean anything to me," Thompson said. "I'm not a big fan."

She said she wishes she took out her cell phone to capture all the mayhem.

"I didn't know what was going on at all," Thompson said. "I just, if, if I would've known a little bit more, I probably would've taken my phone out."

She also expressed her frustration about the police investigation and that no charges have been filed. She said she, her husband and a number of other party guests spoke to investigators that night.

"I just think when people assault other people that they should be arrested," she said. "Or at least charged. Especially when there's that many eyewitnesses. I don't think just because you're a Palin that you should not have to suffer the same consequences as any other person."

Mudflats has  the real scoop on the brawl:

Most of the details of the drunken rumpus are known at this point, and take but a few minutes of googling and following links, but I did talk to my own source who had a couple things to add to the growing body of first person accounts. Sarah and Todd Palin were invited to a birthday party for Mark and Matt McKenna, twin brothers who own McKenna’s Paving, a successful business in Anchorage. The party was held at an address in the South Anchorage community of Oceanview. I lived in Oceanview once upon a time. It’s nice. There are tree-lined streets, and lilac bushes, and lots of little cul-de-sacs where kids ride bikes in circles and play hopscotch. Nothing much happens there, and that’s why people like it.  When people throw parties, they are usually subdued back yard affairs. I never saw the police once in the five years I lived there. And if I lived there still, I might be sitting on some sweet cell phone video right now which I could share with you. Wouldn’t that have been something… But, alas.
The Palins arrived at the party, but not just Sarah and Todd who were the only actual invitees from the clan – the whole fan-damnily and some other tagalong friends from Wasilla turned up in a stretch Hummer limo. Because, of course they did. The party was an adult and relaxed event, with most guests at least in their 30s. Reports have come in that Track got into a fight with an ex-boyfriend of Willow’s. But according to my source, the initial fight started when Track and his buddy were aggressively pursuing… how shall I put this…  “romantic relations” with some female guests. They were allegedly explicit and crude in their depictions of what they’d like to do with and to the ladies, expressing a desire to “bend them over on the lawn,” according to my source. Apparently the lawn was large enough to include places one could be “bent over.”
Hey. You guys wanted this… don’t look at me.
As Track and his companion were wooing the ladies with honeyed words, certain individuals took exception to it – namely the husbands of the women in question, whose presence right there with their wives the whole time was no deterrant to our confident and ambitious Casanovas from the Mat-Su.
Track did not fare well in the ensuing confrontation with the spouse. The irate husband punched Track with the full force of his annoyance, and the young Palin ended up “spread eagle lying on the grass.” You could say someone did end up bent over on the lawn, but not in the way he first envisioned.
Track’s buddies then got involved in the fracas to defend the honor of their fallen comrade, others followed, and soon Bristol Palin began to punch the host in the face for reasons we do not fully understand. Repeatedly. Then Todd showed up and joined the scrum, ending up with a bloody nose out of the deal. Did I mention that it happened to be his 50th birthday?  He probably won’t forget the big 5-Ohhhh.

Then Sarah shrieked, “Don’t you know who I am?” and other such things making clear the importance of the Palins, and the lack of importance of the non-Palins to whom she was speaking.

She then apparently tried to fling herself on top of the giant dog pile into the middle of the melĂ©e.
If there’s one thing the Palin’s have learned from the last six years it’s that the darned media is ruthless, and every little thing you do is scrutinized, so you keep your nose clean, and walk on eggshells. Oh, and “keep the children out of it.” Don’t forget that one.
After tiring of being punched in the face, our host informed the Palins it was time for them to go home. Bristol’s young son Tripp was apparently sleeping in the back of the Hummer limo at the time, blissfully unaware of intoxicated mommy’s raging fists of fury.
The fight ended up involving about 20 people, but eventually the police arrived, and the marauders piled into their limo and headed north to the wild lands from whence they came. But not before Track ripped his shirt off and stood in the road giving the one finger salute to departing guests. Ok, I kind of loved that part.
“Alcohol may have been a factor,” said the police report filed later.
The day after the incident occurred, Sarah tried to do damage control and got on Twitter claiming “I was traveling yesterday, so I’m posting Todd’s 50th birthday greeting a day late.” If by (air quotes) “traveling” she meant sitting in the back of a Hummer stretch limo sitting next to Todd and his bleeding nose, with her shirtless drunken son and his randy friends, her street fighting daughter and the rest of the intoxicated hoard, then yeah… she was “traveling.”

It has also been reported Track suffered from four broken ribs and a busted tooth and Todd's nose was bloodied.

Sarah also went on Hannity on September 11, bashed Obama and apologizes but not for the brawl:

Since the story broke Sarah has been on FB a few times to pay homage to the Star Spangled banner and show pictures of herself coming out of Yoga.  Eww!

Willow's ex-boyfriend Conner Cleary had this to say on Twitter:

  connor @AkCleary

About to be famous up in this bitch

The Alaska Dispatch buys the Anchorage Daily News

From ADN

The McClatchy Co. announced Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to sell the Anchorage Daily News to Alaska Dispatch Publishing. The transaction is expected to close in May.

"The Anchorage Daily News is a profitable newspaper that makes us proud journalistically," said Pat Talamantes, McClatchy's president and CEO. "We weren't looking to sell the Daily News, but after Alaska Dispatch Publishing approached us, we saw advantages to local ownership in this case and opportunities for consolidation that would strengthen both news organizations."

The Daily News is the largest newspaper in Alaska, and adn.com is the most-read news site in the state.
"We are proud to return the Anchorage Daily News to Alaska ownership once again," said Alice Rogoff, owner of Anchorage-based Alaska Dispatch Publishing LLC, which publishes the AlaskaDispatch.com news website. "Across the country over the past few years, we've seen several daily newspapers successfully transition to local ownership. We look forward to working with the talented team at the Daily News to help build its future."

In a written statement, Rogoff said, "The Anchorage Daily News and Alaska Dispatch play vital roles in our great state. By merging these operations, we can serve as a stronger, even more comprehensive resource for Alaskans for their news and information. Our mission is to offer a level of coverage never before seen in Alaska history, and to offer it to readers across the state through a variety of mediums."

The $34 million purchase includes the newspaper, adn.com and the Daily News' building on Northway Drive in East Anchorage. After the purchase is finalized, the building will be sold to GCI., and the Daily News will be a tenant. Last year, GCI bought KTVA-Channel 11, and the station has been leased space in the building.
Daily News President and Publisher Pat Doyle and Daily News Senior Vice President and Editor Pat Dougherty are both retiring, company officials announced Tuesday.

Rogoff is publisher and chief executive of Alaska Dispatch Publishing and Tony Hopfinger, a former a Daily News reporter who co-founded Dispatch in 2008, is executive editor and president.
Bob Weil, McClatchy's vice president of operations, said the sale was in the best interest of Alaska.

"The decision to sell was based on a desire to enhance journalistic excellence in Alaska," Weil said. "The sale provides an opportunity for both organizations to be more successful over time and will build on their past successes, reaching a larger audience."

At the conclusion of the transaction, McClatchy will publish 29 daily newspapers, and their affiliated print and digital products in 28 U.S. markets in 14 states.

McClatchy acquired an 80 percent ownership stake in the Daily News in January 1979. It represented McClatchy's first publishing foray beyond California's Central Valley.

Over its history, the Anchorage Daily News established a reputation for journalism excellence, winning two Pulitzer Prizes for Public Service, in 1976 and 1989. In recent months, the Daily News added staff and content, and completed a redesign of the newspaper in December that included new sections and features.

Kevin McClatchy, the company's chairman, said, "This is a bittersweet moment for all of us at McClatchy.
We are extremely proud of the Daily News and its employees, their exceptional service to Alaska's diverse communities and all of their contributions to McClatchy over the years. However, this sale not only makes sense from a local ownership perspective, but it also allows McClatchy to focus more resources on accelerating our digital transformation to better serve our communities."

Speaking to Daily News employees, Rogoff said her motivation in purchasing the newspaper was to expand coverage and audience, and that her attitude toward print has evolved.

"When we at the Alaska Dispatch say we've come to realize the value of a newspaper in print, you better believe we've come to realize it. We didn't start out that way. But as we got to know this marketplace and community better, it is obvious that print plays an enormous role in a lot of people's lives."

Alaska Dispatch was founded in 2008. In 2009, Rogoff, a longtime supporter of journalism and a former chief financial officer of U.S. News and World Report, became the majority owner of Alaska Dispatch LLC, and the operation expanded to employ writers, editors, and a full-time sales staff.

Best interest of Alaska.  That is very telling.

Does that mean all the Palingates-Baby, Dairy, House etc will finally be exposed?  Time will tell.

Now only if the Alaska Dispatch would buy KTUU.

Why did Sarah Heath Palin leave Channel 2 KTUU in the first place?

As you all know Sarah worked at KTUU for a brief time in 1987-88.  I don't know what her exact dates of employment were but I have always been curious as to why she left?

Was it a temp job or just an internship?

Did she quit to marry Todd?

Was she fired for any of the following reason?
  • She sucked at sportscasting
  • She fucked Glen Rice
  • She had a bad attitude perhaps?
  • Drugs?  She does look stoned in that picture above

Dave Parker of the Anchorage APD is retiring at the end of the year

From the Anchorage Daily News

From Kyle Hopkins in Anchorage --
Some Alaskans see this guy on TV more often than they see their own parents. His name has appeared in nearly 600 Daily News stories since 2008 -- Sarah Palin territory. One time he Tasered a bear.

Omnipresent Anchorage police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker said Friday he’s retiring at the end of the year. “I put in my papers today,” he said.

Parker is an ordained preacher and, unlike spokespeople at many police departments, a badge-carrying cop. His last day will be Dec. 31.

If I worked at a local TV station, I’d be piecing that blooper reel together now.

As you all should know Parker helped sweep Todd's involvement with the hooker ring under the rug.  He had a hand in harassing Shailey Tripp who has spoken out against the Palins.

Now with Sean Parnell turning up the heat on sex trafficking in Alaska, Parker must have decided to bail out now.

Remember all the evidence the Anchorage PD took from Shailey Tripp?

Surprise surprise it got destroyed!

From Malia Litman's blog

We have known since Feb of 2011 that the Anchorage Police Department issued a “press release” at the request of Sarah Palin’s attorney, indicating that none of the “evidence seized” implicated Todd Palin in an alleged sexual relationship with Shailey Tripp, a prostitute. Dave Parker of the APD stated it was just “guilt by innuendo.” He said:

“It was just guilt by innuendo, nothing else,”

”There’s not one scintilla of evidence that Todd Palin had anything to do with this.”. It now seems that there isn’t one scintilla of evidence, other than Shailey Tripp’s lie detector statements, because the APD DESTROYED the evidence. Shailey Tripp has confirmed that in the last hearing before the Judge regarding the property seized that the cell phone and lap top were destroyed by Dave Parker on Sept. 14,2011. Dave Parker has admitted to me that he reads this blog, and doesn’t appreciate some of the things I have reported, but he never complained that anything I reported was inaccurate.
In the original National Enquirer articfle, they claimed 36-year-old Shailey Tripp was arrested for maintaining a house of prostitution in March and that cops had confiscated physical evidence that could tie ex-Gov. Sarah Palin’s husband to the alleged affair.

Thus the APD was put on notice that the “evidence seized” was critical to confirm the story of Shailey Tripp, but that evidence has been destroyed by the very policemen who gave the statement to the National Enquirer that attempted to vindicate Todd.

This is corruption at its most repugnant level! This is obstruction of justice! It’s an example of an elected official using the police to distort the truth. Shailey Tripp is entitled to the same protection under the law as any other citizen. Shailey’s rights have been violated. So have ours. The people of this country are entitled to know about the woman that could have been our Vice President, and the man who was Alaska’s First Dude. Todd Palin has never denied the allegations of Shailey Tripp. He must have been waiting to be sure the evidence was destroyed by the police.

It was clear that the “evidence seized” included a cell phone and lap top computer that were allegedly not “reviewed”. On two different occasions I notified Officer McKinnon that the “evidence seized” was very important and that the police should take special precautions to ensure that the “evidence” that included a cell phone and lap top did not mysteriously disappear.

The latest news from last week, is that the City prosecutor’s office admited to the presiding judge that Officer Parker destroyed everything, except the credit card machine. That means that the cell phone and lap top of Shailey Tripp, that she has been trying to obtain since June were destroyed. They were destroyed on Spet 14, 2011 !!! The fact that it was only the cell phone and lap top that were destroyed, and not the credit card machine would suggest that it was a cover-up rather than a routine police procedure! It appears Sarah Palin would like the government to “get out of the way” unless she needs their help.

I wonder how much the Palins had to pay to get that stuff destroyed.

Shailey I'm sorry this happened.

Shailey Tripp gets a court order for the Anchorage PD to return her stuff...or else

From Shailey's blog

UPDATE 3

Judge Washington has issued an order for APD to return my property and has given 10 days for them to respond. The order was dated Nov. 30, 2011 It seems things are moving in thr right direction. I also copied her on my formal written complain to APD Internal Affairs.

Way to go girl! Now if Dave Parker will actually comply Sarah and Todd will be toast!

I think I'm gonna get Sarah a new fridge for Christmas. I have a feeling the current one is on it's last legs from all the cans Sarah and Todd threw at it.

The APD is finally going to investigate Shailey Tripp's claim her possessions were never returned

From Shailey Tripp's blog

As a result of the public calling the APD, and my own efforts of contacting the APD something is finally happening. An investigation has begun into several complaints I had with the APD. I hope this investigation will be treated with objectivity, fairness, and taken seriously. I beleive I have rights and these rights need to be addressed. But I also believe the public has rights and their needs should be addressed. Perhaps the APD will finally issue a retraction or an apology and return my property. Also I hope the APD will answer the publics concerns and questions as well.

Feel free to keep writing me and chceking in with the APD. Let them know the world is watching. I suggest caling APD Chief Mew, APD Public Affairs, and APD Internal Affairs. Perhaps the media will see fit to finally look into this matter a little bitmore and start asking their own questions. Malia Litman seems to be in the forefront on this.

As of this very moment Shailey Tripp still has not got her stuff back

From Malia Litman's blog

Shailey Tripp has been waiting since March 2010 to have a cell phone and lap top computer returned by the Anchorage Police Department. They were confiscated when she was arrested and charged with running a house of prostitution. She pled no contest to the charges on June 13, 2010, and she was given a probated sentence. The Judge ordered that her property would be returned upon the completion of her probation. The date set to determine if she had fulfilled the terms of her probation was June 15, 2011. The case became famous when there was a story in the National Enquirer connecting Todd Palin and Shailey Tripp.

Any connection between Shailey Tripp and Todd Palin was thought to be unfounded when the Anchorage Police Department issued a press release indicating that none of the evidence in their possession, THAT THEY EXAMINED, connected Shailey and Todd. The APD said:

“None of the physical evidence examined by police showed any connection to Wasilla resident Todd Palin and his name did not appear in any of the records seized by the APD.”

“Bloggers have had no access to the evidence seized so their linking of evidence in police custody to any other person in incorrect.”

To date Todd Palin has never denied the allegations of Shailey Tripp. It was only AFTER the statement of the APD that Sarah Palin denied the allegation that Todd had paid for sex with Shailey Tripp. What she really said was that all we had to do was ask Todd, “Hey Todd you been hanging out with hookers lately?” I asked. I’ve gotten no response.

Shailey Tripp agreed to give an interview, so we talked last February. While she confirmed in that interview that she had been paid for sex by Todd Palin, she was careful about the extent of information she would provide, for many reasons, not the least of which was that she was still on probation.

On Monday, Oct. 24, I received an e-mail from Shailey which reported the following:

“So here is an outline of what has happened.

June 15, 2011 my court date, I complied with the terms of the plea, and my case was dismissed.

also the judge did say i could have all my possessions returned to me.

June 17, 2011 I phoned the city prosecutor’s office and left a message

June 17, 2011 my call was returned and the y left me a message stating that they would try to expedite returning my property to me

The following week I followed up and spoke person to person and was told the same thing, they would try to expedite it.

This goes on for 2 months. In the meantime I make calls to APD evidence, they place everything on the fact they need paperwork from city prosecutor. Finally at the 2 month mark city prosecutor tells me that APD has had the paperwork for sometime and that this is an APD issues. I confronted the APD, yes they do have the correct paperwork but there is a problem. They will not tell me the problem.

Finally after a few more weeks, someone tells me that Det. McKinnon has been put in charge of my property.

I leave a message for Det. Mckinnon. Finally he returns my call and lets me know that 4 months ago his superiors made him aware that my property was problem for the APD and needed to be handled with care and that there may be some incriminating information on it against “other” people. He then asked me that the APD has never gone through my cell phones or computer. He assured me all my property would be returned to me . I signed over power of attorney to my mother. My mother made an appointment to retrieve my property. the APD then sent me a letter showing what items would be returned. Many things were not returned. I handed the matter over to my attorney.”

This report by Ms. Tripp was consistent with what I knew, including the court date of June 15, 2011, which was reported by the NY Daily News last January. Given the willingness of the APD to help the Palins by issuing a press release to the National Enquirer, it wasn’t too surprising that the “evidence seized” had not been returned. However in an attempt to give the APD an opportunity to “refudiate” this report, I contacted the APD. Initially I left two messages for Officer McKinnon. They were never returned. I left several messages with the Anchorage Police Department Evidence Department, but those calls were not returned. When I finally reached someone after repeated calls, I was instructed that Officer Dave Parker, the officer I spoke with last February, would be the one with whom I should speak.

Officer Parker indicated he did not appreciate the fact that I had been reporting information on this blog, and asked that I communicate by e-mail. The following is the e-mail exchange we have had:

Subject: Evidence in Shay Tripp matter

Officer Parker,

I am confirming that I would like a list of the items seized when Shailey Tripp was arrested and pled guilty of running a house of prostitution, what evidence was returned to her or her representative at any time, including on 9-12-11, and a list of items that you indicated that were “obviously” not returned, and why. I would also appreciate confirmation as to who currently has possession of the items that were NOT returned. In particular, it is my understanding that a cell phone and lap top were seized but not returned. Thank you.

Ms. Litman,

I checked with Capt. Kris Miller of the Detective Division. We do not release lists of items seized which you have requested. I can however tell you that the property belonging to Ms. Tripp was returned to her attorney-in-fact, Ms. Lawes on 9-12-11 according to the Property Section disposition form. If Ms. Tripp would like further clarification regarding her case or the property returned she may contact me and I will direct her to the person who can assist her.

The property which was not returned to Ms. Tripp either belonged to the other defendant in the case or they were disposable items such as condoms.

Officer Parker,

It is my understanding that a cell phone and a laptop computer were among the “items seized” and that was reflected in the APD records. Ms. Tripp has advised me that those items were NOT returned. I would like clarification is you are saying they were not among the “items seized” or are you taking the position that they were in fact returned? Malia Litman

Officer Parker,

I am not Ms. Tripp’s legal representative, and I have never indicated to you that I was . I simply thought that because the Anchorage Police Department chose to issue a statement to the National Enquirer, that you were obviously willing to release information regarding the Shailey Tripp arrest. Because the APD , and you in particular, indicated to the NY Daily News that there was not “one scintilla” of evidence connecting Todd Palin to Shailey Tripp, it seems reasonable that you could, at a minimum, answer a simple question regarding a cell phone and lap top computer that were confiscated, according to your own records, and which Ms. Tripp has indicated to me were not released to her. Ms. Tripp has further indicated to me that Det. McKinnon told her that ” 4 months ago his superiors made him aware that her property was a problem for the APD and that the items seized needed to be handled with care, and that there may be some incriminating information on it against other people.” Ms. Tripp has indicated she has repeatedly tried to obtain these items and the APD has not returned them. I am giving the APD, and you in particular, an opportunity to respond before I publish the story. Where are the cell phone and lap top computer of Ms. Tripp? Are you going to return them to her in the condition that they were in when the APD confiscated them? Malia Litman

Dear Officer Parker,

In reviewing records this morning, I draw your attention to my letter last February 22nd, of this year. I specifically put you on notice that the “items seized” had taken on even greater importance to the public because the APD commented on the evidence in your possession regarding Todd Palin. Here is the excerpt:

Given the “office documents, computers, office machines, calendars and books and photographs” that were seized, I am assuming the APD made additional arrests based on this evidence. I assume these arrests would also be a matter of public record, so you would not be disclosing confidential information. Please identify who was arrested based upon this evidence seized. I assume you still have the “evidence seized” in your possession and I hereby put the APD on notice that because the APD has issued the statement that “none of the physical evidence examined by police showed any connection to Wasilla resident Todd Palin and his name did not appear on any of the records seized by APD” it is important in the interest of full disclosure for the public to know exactly what evidence that you seized was “examined.” If his name was not on the list, who’s name was , and what if any arrests have been made or charges filed?

Shailey Tripp has indicated in more than one statement that there was evidence of Todd Palin’s meetings with her that existed in the evidence seized by the Anchorage Police Department. Even if his name did not appear in the evidence examined, perhaps his name appeared in evidence that was seized but not “examined.” Because cell phones were seized, did the police check all the phone records to determine the identity of callers to Ms. Thomas and to Ms. Tripp?

http://malialitman.wordpress.com/category/anchorage-police-department/page/3/

It is because the APD interjected itself into this controversy that it is important that the APD be accountable for identifying what items were returned to Shailey Tripp. If the item was not returned, or if its condition was altered, the public is entitled to know why.

Update:

Officer Parker sent this e-mail on Thursday Oct 27th at 11:37 Dallas time.

Ms. Litman,

As I have already explained, Ms. Tripp’s items were returned to her attorney-in-fact, Ms. Lawes on 9-12-11 according to the Property Section disposition form. If Ms. Tripp would like further clarification regarding her case or the property returned she may contact me and I will direct her to the person who can assist her. Obviously that would apply to anyone she appoints as her legal representative as well.

Lt. Parker

Obviously there is NO reference to the cell phone or lap top computer which Shailey Tripp explains have not been returned.

Shameful that the corruption in AK is still rampant even with Sarah out of office and only living in the state part time. Alaska makes Illinois, New Jersey, and Louisiana look like choir boys in comparison.

Shailey Tripp's latest post

For over a month now I have wanted to address the issue of my arrest paperwork and the Anchorage Police Department’s official statement to the National Enquirer regarding the article from the NE on the subject matter that I was Todd Palin’s mistress/prostitute. Specifically I want to go into detail about each point they made in their statement.

I took the following off of radar online’s website as the link to the national Enquirer no longer seems valid.

Radar Online “LATEST UPDATE: 9:15 PM EST

The Anchorage Police Department have issued the

following press release:

Shailey Tripp Investigation APD #10-1823

The Anchorage Police Department investigation and arrest of Shailey Tripp has

recently been mischaracterized in internet blogs and in a National Enquirer

article. Several errors regarding the investigation and arrest were reported in

the Enquirer article (printed and internet versions):

*None of the physical evidence examined by police showed any connection to

Wasilla resident Todd Palin and his name did not appear in any of the records

seized by APD.

*The investigation of the prostitution operation was initiated by Anchorage

Police Department’s Vice Unit responding to internet advertisements, not through

information developed from any tips or other persons.

*No rolodex was seized and taken into evidence.

*The National Enquirer has not contacted Anchorage Police Department Public

Affairs Unit to fact check its story so their reported call to Anchorage Police

Department could not have been returned.

*Bloggers have had no access to the evidence seized so their linking of

evidence in police custody to any other person is incorrect. “

First let me address this very simple detail: Shailey Tripp Investigation APD #10-1823

As you can see for yourself my name along with an assigned number for reference appears. The number 10-1823. Now all my paperwork from the courts, the attorneys, and the police have a different number. The number on all my paperwork with a APD prefix is #10-3948.

The next statement is:

None of the physical evidence examined by police showed any connection to

Wasilla resident Todd Palin and his name did not appear in any of the records

seized by APD.

From my understanding, according to the interview Malia Litman gave with Dave Parker, who issued this report, the police never actually examined the actual evidence it took into custody. So my take on this is they either knew who the big players were and decided not to look at it so they can with all honesty say that Todd Palin’s name does not appear on anything taken from the Tripp arrest or they just never got around to actually looking at what they took. Which in my own opinion is sloppy either way. We do know for a fact that the police did know what they took into custody. And in all the paperwork I have at least 7 of the officers police reports indeed indicate that items seized were a client list with phone numbers. Each officer worded this in their own individual way but never the less they seized client info with phone numbers period!

The third point: The investigation of the prostitution operation was initiated by Anchorage

Police Department’s Vice Unit responding to internet advertisements, not through

information developed from any tips or other persons.

Yes, it is true they did investigate Craig list ads and backpage ads, but they did not start the investigation due to those ads. The investigation was clearly started based off of two different phone calls from two different people a Laurie Jorgenson and a William Fortier. In both the original police report and the Affidavit of David Burns for Search Warrant Authorization both state that on 1-24-10 William Fortier contacted APD Officer Billiet to report possible prostitution. It also states that Laurie Jorgenson also placed a call to the APD to make a similar complaint based off of finding douche bottles in the trash can. The police report and affidavit have their contact info, description, and social security numbers on them so I am not mistaken on this point. So clearly the investigation was directly prompted by 2 phone calls and not initiated by Internet ads.

Next, the statement: No rolodex was seized and taken into evidence.

Well I carefully read all the paperwork, every page several times. I count at least 6 times the evidence was clearly recounted by 6 different officers on their own paper work regarding the arrest. Also the paperwork I was given about the property they seized clearly, with out a doubt indicate the items and property they took into custody.

In Officer David Burns report he clearly states that items seized were “office documents, calendars, books with client phone numbers….”

In Officer Josua Nolder’s report specifically mentions items seized “SONY laptop, credit card machine, various paperwork such as client lists and expense report…”

And of course the actual evidence reciepts clearly show that a “notebook with client phone numbers” was taken.

The next point: The National Enquirer has not contacted Anchorage Police Department Public

Affairs Unit to fact check its story so their reported call to Anchorage Police

Department could not have been returned.

I do not work for the national Enquirer nor do I have access to any of their information. But when I was in contact with the National Enquirer they indicated to me in a clear way that they did indeed contact the Anchorage Police Department for a comment. But the National Enquirer can only account for themselves I am not in anyway speaking for them.

The last point: Bloggers have had no access to the evidence seized so their linking of

evidence in police custody to any other person is incorrect.

Correct none of the bloggers could possibly have known what evidence was seized at the time this statement was made not would they - the bloggers- have access to look through the property seized. But we now have my police report and we also have copies of the paperwork in which they list the items seized. Bloggers can make any inference they wish to based off their own investigation and opinions. To my knowledge a blogger can post anything they like: opinion, rumor, likes, dislikes, profanity, anything… but why would the police even make this comment?!

In closing I would like to say that Officer Dave Parker himself admitted that there were mistakes made and that the whole APD statement was purely issed due to a phone call from Sarah Palin’s lawyer to the APD!

There are other things I would like to highlight about that police report, so that will be my next blog…
