Sarah Palin now celebrates Conception Day instead of her Birthday

From the Swift Report

The calendar may say that Sarah Palin turns 47 this week, but don’t expect a birthday party for the former vice presidential candidate. Like a growing number of traditional Americans Mrs. Palin dates her life not from birth but from the date upon which she was conceived: June 18th, 1963, after a double feature at the local drive in movie theater in Sandpoint, Idaho.

If it sounds odd, Mrs. Palin and her staff, all of whom have added nine months to their ages, consider it anything but. “As far as Sarah is concerned, she’s been 47 since June because that’s the month that her life began,” says an associate who asked to remain anonymous but gives her own age as 35. Because Mrs. Palin and her extended family celebrated her conception day back in June, she will not be receiving gifts on Friday, added the aide. Supporters who wish to mark Mrs. Palin’s official birthday are encouraged to donate to her political action committee, SarahPAC.

Truth in age act

Mrs. Palin is far from alone in dating her life from conception rather than birth. A bill that would add nine months to the age of every American has already attracted dozens of sponsors on Capitol Hill. Known as the Truth in Age Act, the bill already claims as backers some of the marquee names of the pro-family movement: Senators Tom Coburn, Jim DeMint and David Vitter, along with Representatives Michelle Bachmann and Randy Neugebauer, a member of the congressional pro-life caucus. Also on board: aspiring Republican presidential contenders Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee. Mitt Romney, whose Mormon faith does not allow him to celebrate his birthday if it falls on Sunday, is said to be reviewing the bill.

Needed: conception certificate

If the bill is enacted into law—something that political insiders say is a ‘no brainer’ given the return of a pro-family ethos on Capitol Hill—Americans would be required to identify their date of conception. Proof of ‘conception day’ will soon be necessary to secure everything from passports to Social Security cards, driver’s licenses, even firearms. “Treat it as you would any other form of essential identification,” said a spokeswoman for the Social Security Administration. “Keep in mind that the certificate of conception has to be an original document. We can’t accept photocopies or a document that’s been self notarized.”

Hallmark shifting toward ‘Conception Day’ cards

Major makers of birthday cards—62% of the everyday occasion card industry—say that they’re already preparing to make the shift to conception cards, as Americans stop celebrating the day they made their first physical appearance on earth and start ringing in the day that a father’s sperm and a mother’s egg first united. Birthday card giant Hallmark recently held a competition in which consumers were invited to create humorous cards relating their conception day story along with a vintage photo.

Celebrity resistance expected

Not everybody is thrilled by the prospect that they will soon be nine months older. A number of high-profile celebrities—and aging starlets—including Joan Rivers, Barbra Streisand and Madonna are loathe to add an additional nine months onto their already advancing years. Conservative stars, however, are said to be embracing the change. Sources close to Jessica Simpson say that she is already updating her personal information to reflect her date of conception. “She’s not ashamed to say that she was conceived 31 years ago,” says a longtime friend to the actress. “She considers that the date that her life began.”

So now the real question is-Where's Trig's Conception certificate. Does this also mean if President Obama was conceived in Kenya he is ineligible for the Presidency? More than likely he was conceived in Hawaii BTW, as his parents were students at the University of Hawaii. And since Sarah did not acknowledge Trig's birthday on Facebook and Twitter is she going to acknowledge his conception day instead?
