It's possible Sarah did not give birth to her youngest son Trig. For all practical matters Trig is her son, I'm just saying she did not give birth to him.
She uses him as a prop and carries him around like a sack of potatoes.
Also she does not see to it he gets his therapy and that he is wearing his hearing aids and glasses.
Supposedly a nanny is taking care of him.
Trig and Sarah have no mother-son relationship at all.
