Things don't look to good in the Palin household right now. Maybe its because Todd is getting laid by hookers. Look at the distance between Sarah and Todd. There's more distance between them than Unalaska and Barrow.

The National Enquirer has the details of what the tabloid dubs its "exhaustive" and "extensive" probe of Sarah Palin's extramarital dalliance this week. It was not with that guy who had his divorce papers sealed, but with a city council member in nearby Palmer (pop: smaller than Wasilla) they say! And from the looks of his facial hair, he is a total Toddpelganger.* It went down in the nineties, when David Foster Wallace and Elizabeth Wurtzel were an item, and it involved: snowmobiles, remote cabins, polygraphs, declarations of love, small-town politics and another one of those wackjob ex-brothers-in-law that are such a rich natural resource in Alaska. Born in Montana, he grew up in small town Alaska, was a high school jock and is basically the exact same as Todd Palin down to the facial hair but not nearly as totally awesome, which sort of stands to reason why Palin would fall in love with him. A supporter of strip malls and self-professed enemy of "small-town charm" the Palmer football/hockey coach and property developer bonded with Todd over sports and hunting-type activities and ran a snowmobile dealership together until Todd discovered Brad and Sarah had been bonding, according to the Enquirer, over a shared interest in politics.
The Enquirer says Sarah Palin told friends the relationship was never "consummated" but you know how they get around that in Islam.
Here's their evidence:
1. This guy they picture, Jim Burdett. He's the ex-con former brother-in-law of Brad Hanson's wife Carolyn's brother Craig Bratton, and boy is he a piece of work. Served three years in some unspecified clink for some sort of "theft," he filed for bankruptcy in 2001, he supposedly "turned his life around" and now "speaks regularly with family members" — that may change! — and says that everyone always knew Brad had had an affair but that it wasn't until recently that word went down the family pipeline that the affair had been with Sarah Palin, and that if the Enquirer came calling they had better deny that the affair had been with Sarah Palin. Just to make sure, the Enquirer strapped him to a polygraph and he passed with flying colors.
2. When the Enquirer initially called the Hanson household, Carolyn reportedly said: "I would prefer not to talk about it. It's a nonissue." Then she hung up. Then she called back. And then said, "There is absolutely no truth to this story. It is a complete rumor."
3. Than Brad got on the phone and said, hilariously: "Todd and I are still friends. We own a cabin together. I talked to him four times this week. Does that sound like there was a disagreement?" Um, I have had boyfriends I didn't talk to on the phone four times in a week unless something was SERIOUSLY UP so yeah.
Anyway, thoughts:
1. Brad owns a cabin with Todd. Todd also owns a cabin with that other guy with the sealed divorce papers, Scott Richter. The Palins are looking like the Treasury Department with all those ownership stakes in the housing market!
2. Unless it's the same house, in which case, with the affairs and divorces and procreation and prescription pill-popping and Divine Energy Policy Intervention going down, that house is more zeitgeisty than the Real World house circa 1992!
3. I hated the movie American Beauty, so why can I not get it out of my mind with this crew?
4. Sigh, speaking of, as Wonkette pointed out, Peggy Noonan sorta said it best about these scandals back on Friday. Yeah, we will bite on this, of course we will bite, but our teeth are sure getting rotten from the attention deficit drugs..
I admit I admire former presidents John F. Kennedy and Franklin Roosevelt and also voted for Bill Clinton in 1996 (wasn't old enough in 1992), and all three of them had mistresses...however...none of them promoted family values. Also Sarah was a month preggers with Track when she married Todd, and Track's paternity is in question as well. Track looks a lot like family friend Curtis Menard Jr and not much like Todd and Sarah.

“I am a commercial fisherman; my daughter’s name is Bristol,” said Ms. Palin, then a candidate for governor. “I could not support a project that risks one resource that we know is a given, and that is the world’s richest spawning grounds, over another resource.”
A series of events since Sarah Palin's election:
The governor appointed mining industry officials to lead her Department of Natural Resources, which regulates mines. And her environmental commissioner is a former lawyer for Red Dog, which is Alaska’s largest mine and has a history of violations of the Clean Water Act.
Ken Taylor, a former fish and game official who was Ms. Palin’s point man in her argument that global warming did not threaten polar bears, became environmental vice president for the Pebble Partnership in July.
Other moves by the Palin administration could also help Pebble. It plans to use a $7 million federal earmark — a practice she criticized on the vice presidential campaign trail — for a major upgrade of a road through the snow-capped Chigmit range, records show. There are no villages along this route, but it would form the first leg of a proposed 200-mile thoroughfare between Pebble Mine and the Pacific Ocean.
The Palin administration declined to investigate ethics concerns raised by a Republican lawmaker who says mining officials have tried to buy the loyalty of native leaders, not least by paying $25,000 per month to house workers in the homes of influential locals. One of those houses is owned by Ethel and John Adcox, the parents of a close friend of Todd Palin, the governor’s husband.
Mining companies paid to fly Mr. Palin, who grew up near there and is an unofficial adviser to his wife, on a fact-finding tour of Alaska mines.
The industry spent $12 million fighting the referendum.
The Clean Water Act, also known as Ballot Measure 4 is an initiated state statute that was aimed at stemming the discharge of toxic materials from large metallic mineral mines in Alaska. It appeared on the statewide August 26 ballot.
Sarah Palin spoke out against the measure. Her words immediately appeared in television commercials paid for by the mines, and the referendum failed.

Is Sarah Palin the anti-Christ?

Editor's Note: Keith Berger of Boca just dropped us this e-mail. When we called to get his permission to print it, he termed Sarah Palin "the antchrist" and added: "I couldn't believe they treated her like this... We would have stoned her if it were legal."
On October 6, a large number of anti-Palin demonstrators (myself included) gathered in Boca Raton to protest this unqualified candidate and her shameful, atrocious stances on the environment, women's reproductive rights and animal rights. The local newspapers were there and printed stories so right-leaning that my house tilted on its foundation as I read them.
The Palin "welcome" reported by the Palm Beach Post was far less warm than the article would have people believe. In fact, it was closer to the icy Alaskan welcome wolves receive from aerial gunners seeking the $150 bounty Ms. Palin has put on them in return for their severed forelegs. If she'd driven past rather than sneaking in the back way, I imagine she would have recognized the chill in the air. It would have felt like home.
The Sun-Sentinel referred to the protest as "colorful". I personally could not have been less colorful, holding a black and white sign bearing the black and white truth about Sarah Palin's bloody record on animal rights. I saw many other signs, some in black and white, other in color, but all in an effort to bring the truth into the light. All I heard and saw from Palin's supporters was Republican party-line rhetoric and misinformation.
Perhaps these newspapers are suffering from the same sort of denial-driven tunnel vision that keeps so many Americans in the dark about what's going on in their country. I find such incomplete reporting and mismanagement of the truth irresponsible and shameful. Somewhere, a Republican is smiling.
The upside: At least no one can accuse the Palm Beach Post and Sun-Sentinel of being part of the "liberal" media.

While a member of the Noze he and his Noze brothers kidnapped a co-ed, ordered her to smoke from a bong and worship the Aqua Buddha.
He has also said he would have voted against the 1964 Civil Rights act.
Sarah endorsed him which is the only reason why he won his election. His supporters are crazy along with her.

In a previewed manuscript entitled, "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin," Bailey uses his inside knowledge and access to private e-mails between inner-circle members to finally come clean about all of those Palin controversies.
From the 2006 gubernatorial campaign and Troopergate, to life back in Juneau after her loss with John McCain in 2008, Bailey's book contains non-stop revelations about the twisted and vindictive life of Sarah and Todd Palin that is an absolute page turner.
The first sentence of the book says it all. "On April 28, 2009, Sarah wrote a simple, but frequently repeated message: I hate this damn job..."

Regarding State Trooper Mike Wooten and Troopergate:"Despite my own dislike for Wooten and the lack of historical context for the compulsive attacks against him, my becoming Todd's go-to guy in an attempt to destroy another man's life remains inexcusable, representing a lack of common sense or due diligence. I should have known better. By the time Todd approached me to be his ally, I was fully aware that I worked for a couple who felt revenge a sweet drink. I joined in with much enthusiasm and too few facts.

Sarah Palin shows her ignorance once again

Palin said the landmark health care bill Obama signed into law last year gave her heartburn. She also defended her much-criticized claim that the law would lead to federal "death panels" determining who would receive care. Provisions of the law that were dropped called for voluntary end-of-life planning.
WOODBURY, N.Y. — Sarah Palin, in a rare public appearance at which reporters were allowed, praised lawmakers threatening to vote against raising the federal debt ceiling. She stuck to her guns on "death panels" Thursday and continued tweaking the first lady's efforts to fight childhood obesity, but she chided some of her own supporters for sustaining the "annoying" claims that President Barack Obama is foreign-born and Muslim.
As for the big question — whether she's running for president in 2012 — the former vice presidential Republican nominee said she's thinking about it.
"No one is more qualified, really, to multitasking and the things you need to do as president, than a woman, a mom," said the former Alaska governor, who has five children.
Palin sat for a wide-ranging interview with the president of the Long Island Association, a business group outside New York, at the group's annual meeting. Kevin Law pressed her on gun rights, potential presidential aspirations and how she usually communicates through Facebook and Fox News, where she is a contributor, rather than talking to reporters.
Reporters were allowed at the New York event, unlike many Palin speaking engagements where they have been banned, but they did not get a chance to ask questions.
Law asked Palin if she would support efforts to restrict semiautomatic weapons or multi-bullet clips, like the clips used in a shooting last month in Tucson, Ariz., that left six people dead and U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords critically wounded.
"There are already on the books many gun control measures, and I do support those that are on the books. I do not support taking away more freedom from the good guy," Palin said. "The people who have no intention of using that weapon to harm another person so, no additional gun control measures could be supported."
Palin was criticized after the shootings for having published campaign literature that marked some Democratic districts, including Giffords', with crosshairs, but she pushed back, saying Republicans were being unfairly blamed for the act of a crazed shooter.
She said Thursday, "Prayers should continue for the full recovery of Gabby Giffords and others who were involved in such a tragic, tragic event."

Palin criticized Obama on a range of issues, from his handling of the recent democratic uprising in Egypt to his latest budget proposal, which she said would do little to close the deficit. She claimed the press had been complicit in allowing Obama to claim that his budget did not add to the national debt. The White House expects government spending and revenues to eventually reach balance, but that doesn't include interest payments on the debt.
"Criticism of the press is what I do," Palin said.
AND SHE DOES IT ONLY WHEN THEY CRITICIZE HER
Whether she runs for president or not, Palin predicted an unconventional Republican contest in which social media would play a pivotal role.
"That's what going rogue is all about," Palin said, referring to the title of her best-selling memoir.
She also praised the tea party movement, saying it had forced Republicans and Democrats to "rethink the way they do business." She said she supported tea party-supported lawmakers' push for entitlement reform and their threats to vote against increasing the debt ceiling.
Palin did, however, distance herself from the so-called birthers, who believe Obama was not born in the United States, and others who contend he is not Christian, as he insists, but Muslim. She said she does not question the president's faith or citizenship and added, "It's distracting. It gets annoying. Let's stick with what really matters."

Palin said the landmark health care bill Obama signed into law last year gave her heartburn. She also defended her much-criticized claim that the law would lead to federal "death panels" determining who would receive care. Provisions of the law that were dropped called for voluntary end-of-life planning.
"My question was, 'Who are these faceless bureaucrats on a panel who will decide?'" Palin said. "Will it be my baby with Down syndrome, who maybe somebody may judge him as not having that level of productivity somebody else may have? So maybe if rationed care is part of this, maybe he wouldn't receive the care."

Palin also noted the recent increases in the price of food and mocked Michelle Obama to make her point. The first lady is encouraging mothers to breast-feed their infants as part of her campaign to reduce childhood obesity — an effort that has drawn scorn from some conservatives.
"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling everybody you better breast-feed your babies," said Palin, who as governor declared October 2007 Breastfeeding Awareness Month. "I'm looking and say, 'Yeah, you better because the price of milk is so high right now.'"

But Palin's tenure as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, was characterized by waste, cronyism and incompetence, according to government officials in the Matanuska Valley, where she began her fairy-tale political rise.
"Executive abilities? She doesn't have any," said former Wasilla City Council member Nick Carney, who selected and groomed Palin for her first political race in 1992 and served with her after her election to the City Council.
Four years later, the ambitious Palin won the Wasilla mayor's office -- after scorching the "tax and spend mentality" of her incumbent opponent. But Carney, Palin's estranged former mentor, and others in city hall were astounded when they found out about a lavish expenditure of Palin's own after her 1996 election. According to Carney, the newly elected mayor spent more than $50,000 in city funds to redecorate her office, without the council's authorization.
"I thought it was an outrageous expense, especially for someone who had run as a budget cutter," said Carney. "It was also illegal, because Sarah had not received the council's approval."
According to Carney, Palin's office makeover included flocked, red wallpaper. "It looked like a bordello."
Although Carney says he no longer has documentation of the expenditures, in his recollection Palin paid for the office face-lift with money from a city highway fund that was used to plow snow, grade roads and fill potholes -- essential municipal services, particularly in weather-battered Alaska.
Carney confronted Mayor Palin at a City Council hearing, and was shocked by her response.
"I braced her about it," he said. "I told her it was against the law to make such a large expenditure without the council taking a vote. She said, 'I'm the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can't.'"
"I'll never forget it -- it's one of the few times in my life I've been speechless," Carney added. "It would have been easier for her to finesse it. She had the votes on the council by then, she controlled it. But she just pushed forward. That's Sarah. She just has no respect for rules and regulations."
Carney, who comes from a long-established homesteading family in the area and once ran the city's garbage collection business, has decided to speak out for the first time since Palin's vice-presidential nomination. He is viewed as a longtime Palin gadfly, ever since he sided with her opponent in the 1996 mayor's race. After Palin won, she froze out Carney, refusing to call on him at City Council meetings and deep-sixing his proposals. "That's the way Sarah is," Carney said. "She rewards friends and cuts everyone else off at the knees."
Other local officials -- who lack Carney's acrimonious history with Palin -- share his dim view of her mayoral reign. When Palin ran for mayor, she dismissed concerns about her lack of managerial expertise by saying the job was "not rocket science." But after a tumultuous start, marked by controversial firings and lawsuits against the city, Palin felt compelled to hire a city manager named John Cramer to steady the ship.
"Sarah was unprepared to be mayor -- it was John Cramer who actually ran the city," said Michelle Church, a member of the Mat-Su Borough Assembly, who knows Palin socially. "As vice-president she'll certainly have to rely on faceless advisors with no public accountability. Haven't we had enough of that in the past eight years?"
Other officials in the borough government -- the equivalent of county government in other states -- point out that Palin actually had very little executive responsibility, since the borough oversees many of Wasilla's vital functions.
"After all her boasting about her executive experience, what did she do?" asks a longtime borough official, who, like many in local circles, requested anonymity because of Palin's reputation for vengeance. "The borough takes care of most of the planning, the fire, the ambulance, collecting the property taxes. And on top of that she brought in a city manager to actually run the city day to day. So what executive experience did she have as mayor?"
Palin does have two major accomplishments to her name as mayor: the by now highly publicized sports complex on the outskirts of Wasilla, which she pushed through city government, and the less well-known emergency dispatch center, which she also brought to her hometown.
The sports complex, however, is seen by many local officials as a budget-busting white elephant.
"I feel sorry for our current mayor, because of the mess that Sarah left behind," said Anne Kilkenny, a respected government watchdog in Wasilla. "And the sports arena is still a money loser for the city."
"Sarah was very focused on the sports complex," said Wasilla council member Dianne Woodruff, who began serving after Palin's tenure. "But somebody forgot to buy the land before they started building on it. Somebody dropped the ball. It was the fault of the people running the city at the time. As a result, we've spent well over a million dollars more than we should have. And we're still paying for it."
Today, the sports complex sits like a huge airplane hangar outside the Wasilla city limits, in a clearing in the woods. Since Palin's administration decided to build the complex far from Wasilla's population center, kids can't walk there or ride their bicycles. On a recent, drizzly afternoon, the cavernous building sat nearly empty. Inside, two girls glided aimlessly around on the ice rink.
But the quiet arena still held Palin's charged presence. A wall plaque commemorated Mayor Sarah Palin and her City Council for constructing the edifice. And on the walls, big, bold quotations urged young athletes to attempt impossible, Sarah Barracuda-like feats: "'You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.' -- Wayne Gretzky."
Local officials are also highly critical of Palin's decision to build an emergency dispatch center -- even though Wasilla and nearby Palmer already shared the costs of an emergency operation for the Mat-Su Valley. As a result of the duplication, there are now two expensive operations for an area with 85,000 people, while the city of Anchorage, with a population of over 300,000, makes do with one emergency station.
"Don't tell me about earmarks," snorts a borough official. "Because of Palin's ego, she couldn't stand the idea of sharing an emergency dispatch operation with Palmer, which has been Wasilla's town rival ever since her high school basketball days. So she ran to [Senator] Ted Stevens to get an earmark for her own system. Now we have two expensive emergency systems and both are losing money. She's no budget cutter -- give me a break. She's just the opposite."

When he and his wife picked Palin to run for City Council in 1992, because they felt the council needed an average-mom type like her, Carney had no idea how far their protégé would soar. "It was a very casual process, she wasn't even our first choice. We had known her since she was a girl, she went to school with our daughter. It wasn't that she was the brightest thing on the horizon, a rising star or anything like that."
But, in hindsight, Carney can see the qualities that have rocket-propelled Palin to where she is today.
"'Sarah Barracuda' -- she's proud of that name now, she uses it in her campaigns," said her former mentor. "But she got that name from the way she conducted herself with her own teammates. She was vicious to the other girls, always playing up to the coach and pointing out when the other girls made mistakes. She was the coach's favorite and he gave her more playing time than her skills warranted. My niece was on her team; she was a very good player. I used to sit there in the stands, and I would wonder, Why on earth is Sarah getting so much playing time?"
