Hell hath no fury like a Palin family visit:  Just when I was about to give up on them, the Gods of gossip came visiting this week, and as they’ve done in the past, they beckoned me to look towards Wasilla, towards the fortress of Our Lady of the North, the woman who was almost a heartbeat away from the presidency, whose family had a dramatic weekend, Wasilla style! As many of us have read, Bristol Palin was visited by a Floridian stalker on Sunday who somehow ended up on the family’s balcony. The stalker currently sits in jail. That’s pretty dramatic. But that’s the least of it. The night before, Saturday, was a doozy. The details are a little sketchy, but there’s enough of them, from enough different sources, that a story emerges, a story that according to the gossip Gods, looks kind of like this: There’s some sort of Iron Dog/snowmachine party in Anchorage. A nice, mellow party, until the Palin’s show up. There’s beer, of course, and maybe other things. Which is all fine, but just about the time when some people might have had one too many, a Track Palin stumbles out of a stretch Hummer, and immediately spots an ex-boyfriend of Willow’s. Track isn’t happy with this guy, the story goes. There’s words, and more. The owner of the house gets involved, and he probably wished he hadn’t. At this point, he’s up against nearly the whole Palin tribe: Palin women screaming. Palin men thumping their chests. Word is that Bristol has a particularly strong right hook, which she employed repeatedly, and it’s something to hear when Sarah screams, “Don’t you know who I am!” And it was particularly wonderful when someone in the crowd screamed back, “This isn’t some damned Hillbilly reality show!” No, it’s what happens when the former First Family of Alaska comes knocking. As people were leaving in a cab, Track was seen on the street, shirtless, flipping people off, with Sarah right behind him, and Todd somewhere in the foreground, tending to his bloody nose.

Whoo Whee!

Po' li' Todd got a bloody nose, Bristol rearranges some poor girl's face, Track rips his shirt off and tries to act manly, Sarah screams "Don't you know who I am!"

Yes it is some damned Hillbilly reality show.  Only difference is it is real.

I'm actually impressed by Track.  I figured he would be too stoned out of his mind to thump his chest let alone get into a fistfight.  Wonder what kind of drugs he was on. 

I am going to assume this was Turd's 50th birthday party.  Can anyone confirm that?

Does Willow Palin still work at Forget Me Knot?

Willow hasn't been mentioned on their Facebook page since March 26.

On April 16 they post a listing for a room rental at the salon.

Was that Willow's room?

It also looks like Willow stole her mom's Belmonts.

So is Trig Palin and Tripp Johnston going to enroll in kindergarten this fall?

Today the first day of kindergarten in the Mat-Su School District.  Anyone know if Trig and Tripp are enrolled?  Or is he enrolled in Arizona?

Personally I can't see Trig being ready for Kindergarten because of this:

 We have always been inspired by the work of those very special therapists and educators who dedicate their lives to helping children and adults with special needs. Ever since Trig came into our lives, that respect has grown immensely. 

 You know, I come from a family full of teachers so I have a great appreciation for uh that vocation. But, especially since Trig came into our lives, I have an even greater appreciation, especially for those teachers who have the heart for the special needs kids. Uh, Trig, for instance, today, we took him to a speech therapist because he’s headin’ into [begin sing-song voice] real kindergarten in the fall and uh, you know, of course, he needs to be a little bit more ready than he is now. Doesn’t quite talk. Still does his sign language. Puts two words together, though, which is awesome and, you know, at six years old there-there’s expectations whether [mumble] you know, whatever degree of-a…of-a special needs the kids have. 

There’s expectations, of course, that-that the families will do all that they can uhm before kinda handin’ em over in a sense for at least a few hours every day in the school system. So…great appreciation for the teachers who have the patience and the uh therapists who does-they do miraculous work with these kids. Today. Trig. At speech therapy, he…uhm…he-he did what the therapist needed him to do and they’re-the therapists are so observant, of course, they catch things that we miss all the time. They know how to help the kids, even better in some areas, than we know how to…help..Trig. He also attended uhm eating therapy because uh still doesn’t eat a lot of solid food. In fact, I think he’s th-the only kid in the world who hasn’t had a Cheerio yet. So, he-he’s still working on uhm food sensory things, the mouth, and he’ll be eating solid foods I’m sure uh at some point here, in the near future. 

So, great appreciation for those who have the heart to help the kids with special needs because they’re so full of potential and purpose and they’re-they’re God’s GIFT to-to this world, we know, personally, to our family, the gift Trig is kinda makes us keep everything in perspective and we can understand what true innocent joy is by being around Trig because he-he’s joyful and-uh so he, you know, kinda spreads to the rest of us, makes up [sic] happy. 

So, just wanta [begin exaggerated baby talk] thank all those folks out there, whether they’re professional therapists or teachers or just uh good yaa [audible sigh] good mom and pops who want to reach out and help these groups that help kids with special needs, and adults with special needs, and they support ‘em financially, they support ‘em uhm with their time, volunteering to uh to help these good, good people who are here for a good reason. I-I thank you for havin’ that heart for these kids."

Shame on you Sarah and Todd for not getting Trig therapy earlier!  FUCK YOU AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON!

Now to Tripp.  Since the court hearing is coming up,  I'm sure he is enrolled in school since Butthole has to prove to be a stable mother.  And since Sunny is a former preschool teacher I am sure she will see to it.

Sarah Palin finds out she has to obey the law like everyone else

Sarah Palin may be conservative, but her driving is unabashedly radical ... giving TMZ an epic rationalization for speeding in her pick up truck in Alaska.

The former guv was stopped in her hometown of Wasilla last Wednesday for going 63 in a 45 MPH zone in her Toyota Tundra.  The cop wrote her up and she was on her way.

Palin cops to the crime, telling us, "I wasn't speeding, I was qualifying."  She didn't accept full blame, saying Sammy Hagar's, "I Can't Drive 55" on the oldies station contributed to her lead foot.

We're told Palin will pay the $154 ticket STAT.

Hopefully a big black and white won't crush her groove next time.

Typical Sarah, refusing to accept responsibility.  It's nice to see the cops in Wasilla have balls.  Good job boys in blue!

I wonder if she will actually pay the speeding ticket or her PAC takes care of it.  By the way she is not the only Palin to get pulled over for a traffic violation.

Someone from Wasilla speaks out about Sarah Palin

Not everyone from Wasilla agrees with Sarah Palin. I feel it is important for my reputation as a human being who grew up in Wasilla, AK to take a stand. My family and I moved to Alaska in the early 70's. I went to public school in Wasilla from 1st through 12th grade, and I graduated from Wasilla High School in 1986. During that time, I was also a Blue Bird, a Camp Fire Girl, a Rainbow girl, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and I took History classes from a lady named Jean Krauss. (Do you remember her, Warriors?)

There is Nothing in my upbringing in Wasilla that ever promoted or tolerated the idea that it is ok, good, or necessary to torture anyone. In fact I clearly remember learning about the Geneva Conventions in which it is stated "Grave breaches of the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions include the following acts if committed against a person protected by the convention: willful killing, torture or inhumane treatment including biological experiments." Also - leaders who tortured people, i.e. Hitler & Stalin - not good guys, right? I don't want us to be that kind of nation.


Furthermore, combining the acts of water-boarding (torture) and baptism (a sacred spiritual ritual) is an idea so reprehensible it could be used as a theme in Game of Thrones. Not that I am suggesting that. Speaking of GoT - did you see what Daenarys did to the Masters who tortured people? Yep, they got the exact same treatment. Karma - it's a bitch, unless you're on the right side of it.
There is no theology in which it is ok to forcibly convert/baptize someone into a religion they do not freely accept, by means of torture. Just so THAT'S clear. But then again, no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Sarah has done and said many things over the years that I disagree with, am embarrassed by, am furious over - but this one just puts it so far over the line that I feel it's important to make a statement about it.
I know how I became me, and where I got my values. I cannot understand how Sarah got her values, and I resent that every time I tell someone where I am from their first response is "do you know Sarah Palin?" Well, unfortunately, yes. Then I have to go into a 10 minute explanation of how we are completely and utterly different. Because you know, I'm from Wasilla and there's kind of a taint now. Plus, I am a patriot, and I think that word has been co-opted by people whose idea of what it means is incorrect and possibly immoral.
In my mind, a patriot is a person who reads, understands and lives by the values in the Constitution, and who wants America to be an ethical leader in the world. I don't want to be associated with this other woman from Wasilla whose values are so off.
So I just wanted you to know - not everyone from Wasilla agrees with S.P. or shares her ideas. I know you probably know that, but I'm just putting it out there, in writing.
And by the way, here's what I believe in that is different from S.P.
I understand the need for guns in Alaska. We hunted it, we shot it, we ate it. We did not however, believe it was a good idea to tote guns to school, or football games, or beer parties down by the lake, or other public places. Guns in my house were locked in a cabinet so secure even my Dad had a hard time getting them out. More guns is not good.
My family is Christian, and by that I mean we believed in the Golden Rule, and we respected the faiths and wisdom traditions of all creeds, people and nations. Including Muslims, Jews, and Atheists. We didn't view ourselves as better than people who were "different." We believed in tolerance, acceptance, forgiveness and helping people. We realized that radicals of any religious practice can be dangerous. We did not exclude people. Also - separation of Church & State: a good and necessary thing.
We had respect for nature. We knew that the fish, trees, lakes, rivers, coastline and wildlife of Alaska are precious and should never be over-hunted, over-fished, destroyed or compromised due to the demands of the oil and mining industries. "Drill Baby, Drill" is not aligned with this point of view.
We basically wanted the ability for ourselves and our neighbors to thrive, and be safe, and to live freely but in harmony with others. Much like FDR said in the Four Freedoms:

"In the future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms. The first is freedom of speech and expression—everywhere in the world.
The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way—everywhere in the world.
The third is freedom from want—which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants—everywhere in the world.
The fourth is freedom from fear—which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of physical aggression against any neighbor—anywhere in the world.
That is no vision of a distant millennium. It is a definite basis for a kind of world attainable in our own time and generation. That kind of world is the very antithesis of the so-called new order of tyranny which the dictators seek to create with the crash of a bomb."
