Palin archenemy Nicolle Wallace joining the View

EXCLUSIVE: The search is over. Final details are still being worked out but I’ve learned that actress Rosie Perez and political commentator Nicolle Wallace aree xpected to take the vacant seats on The View when the ABC daytime talk show returns for a new season September 15. They would join Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg. Perez and Wallace would succeed co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy, who exited last month.

Wallace, who served as communications director for George W. Bush, was among the women who did a screen test for The View last month, emerging as one of the frontrunners. She also did three guest co-hosting stints this year. Perez has been largely under the radar during the search but she is a household name and served as a guest co-host on the talk show in February.

I confess I am not a Nicolle Wallace fan for three reasons.  

1 She is a Republican.

2 She is a Dumbya Administration alum

3. Her book which pretty much exposed Sarah Palin as a nutcase was good but my issue is the main character in the book was a Democrat.  Nicolle would have more respect in my eyes if she made her character a Republican.

However compared to Sarah Palin she would be much better suited for The View.

Ooh this has to chap Sarah Palin's crotch, Nicole Wallace will be on The View!

And MailOnline can reveal that producers of The View will surprise audiences next season, when they replace departing hosts Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd with two relative unknowns.

Political commentator Nicolle Wallace and October Gonzalez (wife of NFL star Tony) are expected to join Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell in September.

 Wallace, 42, is a novelist and political commentator for MSNBC who has appeared as a guest on The View. The former communications chief to George W. Bush, she will fill its 'conservative' hot seat vacated by Jenny McCarthy.  She is the adviser who prepped Sarah Palin during  John McCain's presidential run.

She is married and has one son.

Gonzalez and her Atlanta Falcons footballer husband Tony are perhaps best known for their work for PETA. They famously posed naked for a campaign to discourage wearing fur. Priducers were eager to find a Latina to round out the show, according to the source.

ABC had a short list of candidates before the taping of the final show of the season yesterday, which airs today. But they weren't convinced about their choices and decided to shake things up, says the insider.

Yesterday after taping they crash tested a dozen female hosts, including political analyst Ana Navarro, 

Bloomberg TV managing editor Stephanie Ruhle and ESPN anchor Sage Steele.

Good Day LA co-host Lauren Sanchez was also among the try-outs. Oddly enough Lauren has a child with 

 Tony Gonzalez, October's husband, from their past relationship.

October was the standout, says the show insider. She 'didn't audition. She was herself. She was the real deal'

ABC was close to bringing CNN legal eagle Sunny Hostin on board, the insider claims, but CNN President Jeff Zucker was trying to block the move and vowed to complicate things by not letting her out of her current contract.

Commentator S.E. Cupp was also considered, but clashed with Rosie.

Rosie told her that her approach was just like Elisabeth Hasselbeck, which did not sit well,' according to the show insider.

And the other day it was reported that Sarah was auditioning for The View and was using her fake TV channel to audition for it.

Yep Sarah will always be a loser, her political clout is dead, her endorsees get their asses kicked, and she has a shitty fake TV Channel.

I have to admit I'm disappointed that Rachel will not interview Joe McGinnis but she will interview these two losers.

Steve and Nicolle are trying to save their asses. Note how Steve tries to drag John Edwards into the conversation. John was properly vetted. That's why Barack Obama picked Joe Biden over him.

And I don't appreciate Nicolle having the VP in her book as a Democrat.
